I admire her patience and efficiency through overstimulation. There was a customer before me in line that had a whole basket full of clothes that she scanned it all with ease and efficiency. while also communicating with another lady (who I assume was a shift manager) that was dealing with a clothing tag that was beeping incessantly. There was a customer in line at the same time that had no consideration for others sense of peace. She was encouraging her kid to scream at the top of his or her lungs because she thought it was cute. If I was the cashier, I would've quit lol.

Upon arriving, I was greeted by a friendly man who showed me a couple different brands of lab coats they had, and allowed me to try a couple on in the fitting room! He was extremely patient with me, as I had several questions! I was later reissued an audition for a different role, so I no longer needed the lab coat. They offered me a refund with no hesitation, and were extremely friendly in the process. The store is conveniently located with ample parking, and very clean throughout. What I mean is they they have an OK selection of kids shoes including sneakers, boots and dress shoes. A good selection of women's and men's dress, gym shoes, work boots and casual foot wear but not a huge selection of any one category. I've seen larger selections of gym shoes at some of the local sporting goods stores and a wider selection of dress shoes at other local stores, but overall they have a good mix. The best part is that the shoes here are discounted a good amount compared to other stores so while the selection isn't nearly as big, the prices are really great and separate this place from others in that you can buy 2 pairs for what you might pay for one pair at somewhere like Dillard's. When you enter Mary Ellen's, someone will walk up to you and greet you, sometimes meeting you at the door. Randy and Kevin make it a point to talk to you, find out where you're from, and if you're a regular, how you and your family are doing. Once you go to Mary Ellen's for a tuxedo, that's the only place you'll ever go. They make you feel like you're a part of their family. You are their customer and they want to keep that relationship with you always. Having been an employee at Mary Ellen's, I think people should know how hard Randy and Kevin work for your business. During Mardi Gras season, Randy and Kevin arrive at work hours before the shop is actually open to start cleaning and pressing tuxedos. They dry clean their own product right there in the store! When the store closes at 5:30pm, it's a quick dash home for all employees and then back to work, sometimes staying past 11pm at night to get garments cleaned and start pulling orders for the coming weekend. This is the regular Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday routine for these guys. On busier weeks, all employees forfeit their only day off, Sunday, to get a jump on the demanding week. This is just a small glimpse into how hard the Mary Ellen's crew works for their customers, and you can rest assured that this service will always be this consistently extraordinary.
