Okay, so this shop is in the middle of nowhere - Ringwood East is hardly synonymous with good vintage shopping. I only discovered it by chance - my sister lives out in this 'hood and I took my itsy bitsy niece and nephew down the street to get ice cream and stumbled on it.
At first I thought it was just the front room with mid-century furniture, vintage jewellery and crockery. But on my second visit I realized the shop stretches back for five more rooms and is a treasure chest of furs, clothes, hats, books, records, homewares and any other kind of second hand trash and treasure you can imagine.
The collection has been lovingly curated. Even if everything isn't to my taste, I have to say there was no real junk in the store. The prices are reasonable - not as cheap as Vinnies, obviously, but better than many inner city vintage stores. It's worth the trip if you're really into vintage clothes - the fur hats and jackets are particularly good. read more
