There's plenty on offer and in general all the items hold some sort of artistic merit. For example, you can pick up a rather nice piano for £200, a grandfather clock for £300 or an old chest for a sum I fail to remember. What makes these items so special is the air of prestige and the enhanced atmosphere they have to offer. It's well worth having a look around as there are items to catch your eye in all price ranges so there's likely to be something a bit special you might want to buy.

It is a wide array of items, but is undoubtedly of a classier nature. Selling old televisions from the 60s, unusual crockery and second hand furniture, Leith Salerooms is littered in special old items. They have a great selection of grandfather clocks and although a lot of their stock doesn't come cheap, that's due to the fact that it's kept in relatively good condition. Some of the antique furniture is certainly worthy of a showroom or an auction, and the vast majority of the items in here are beguiling and unusual. Although it has a somewhat shambled appearance, the staff are friendly and well versed, and the stock is more high end than the stuff you'd find in markets or at the back of lorries. Definitely not what you'd call bargain basement, Leith Salerooms cuts a line between second hand and antique dealer.
