As far as train stations go, this one is pretty nice. Going through the main doors, you find yourself in a large atrium/waiting area. Two corner store type shops, a pharmacy and a cafe around the back which I'm told serves the best coffee in town. There are separate ticket machines for the NSB (regional trains) and the Flytoget (express to Oslo Gardemoen airport). The platforms are all well signposted and have waiting huts to escape the cold if you want to wait within view of your train arriving at the platform. Just outside there is a bus loop and taxi rank although neither of these are very well sheltered. read more
