Checking in at this hotel was an absolute nightmare. It took nearly two hours to get through the process, and the front desk clerk seemed completely unprepared to handle even basic transactions. The guest in front of us was charged three times on his credit card, had to come back down twice (once because his room key hadn't even been coded, and again to deal with the billing errors), and eventually gave up after watching our ordeal. When it was our turn, the clerk told me my card for the deposit had been denied. I asked him to try again--it went through just fine. Then he said there was an issue with the third-party booking site's card. He eventually got a rep on the phone who was polite and helpful, but the clerk put the call on speaker and then walked away while the rep was still on the line. I ended up having to answer so the rep wouldn't hang up. Meanwhile, the clerk tried to check in another couple...whose card "didn't work" either. He said he needed to reset the server, and throughout the process he kept quoting the wrong amounts to the rep--even off by a penny at one point. Because we had been in the lobby so long, he even claimed the dates weren't lining up anymore (we started the process on the 19th!). The waiting couple got so frustrated that they tried to help him because nothing he said made sense. When asked for the manager's card, the clerk handed over an email for someone who wasn't even the manager listed on the sign behind him. The other guests finally took a room just to end the ordeal but said they'd be disputing the charges. After multiple attempts, the rep finally guided the clerk through completing our check-in. I don't know if he was entering the numbers incorrectly or simply didn't understand the system, but it felt like a bad comedy sketch. To top it off, he was speaking into the phone's handset even though it was on speaker. Bottom line: The hotel itself seems clean, but the check-in process was unbelievably chaotic and unprofessional. I trust the third-party booking site we used--we've never had an issue with them--but this hotel's customer service is extremely unreliable. Be warned. read more

Guys, don't be tricked by the online photos. This place is gigantic but empty. We stayed on a Friday night and were literally one of like 5 booked rooms. The hotel doesn't have hot water, and the hvac doesn't work. It kind of feels like squatting in a deserted building. Very "walking dead" if you will.... Totally not the staffs fault--they seemed to be doing what they could. But truly, this place should not be open. read more

We were early for a check-in and front desk "lady" was extremely short, rude and not a bit helpful. We came back with 30 minutes to the check-in time and she left the desk and said she had to check all of the rooms to see if they were ready. One person checking multiple rooms in a multi floor hotel leaving a customer at the desk. She wasn't there at check-in time. Unacceptable. In addition, the humidity and pool chlorine smell were absolutely too much. We left after again walking around a wet floor and a pail catching a rook leak by the front door. The hotel room was disgusting and not cleaned. Hotel was booked full and had no other options. The cleaning crew left hair in the bathtub and on the toilet seat. Mold in the bathroom by the toilet. The best was when I went to go sit on the chair that was in the room they left someone's nasty hair comb there and didn't take it away. 1 of 2 elevators were down the entire weekend. 45 minutes to wait in line to check in. We decided to keep our room and be friendly and when we got in there, the adjoining room had no door handle or lock, and there were people staying in that room. I went back downstairs with the door handle in my hand and explained how unsafe the conditions were and that we could not stay in that room she told me that was my choice as if she wanted me to leave. I informed her she would be switching us to a different room she did, but the room is not exactly the same and still not what we wanted original then my diabetic daughter needed to eat her dinner which was spaghetti the delivery service forgot silverware. There is a restaurant here on the hotel premises, but it's closed The same front desk. Lady refused to get me silverware for my daughter to eat save yourselves never come here this is where hope and dreams go to die. My friend came to visit from out of town and we needed a room for the night. The ambiance is odd here. The whole place smells like pool chlorine even in the room. There was someone else's room keys in the room when we got in the room. The temperature controls did not work just hot air blowing the whole night. No continental breakfast, a buffet you had to pay for. Better than a motel 6 but not by much. Very odd hotel. Maybe in its hay day it was a a really nice place. Rooms are really dated with old furniture and the chlorine smell is so strong. I would not recommend staying here. Holiday Inn is in same parking lot and probably a better option. read more

The absolute WORST experience I've ever had at a hotel, and I like to travel. The main reason for my poor review is that the hotel claimed to have a "glitch in their system" in the middle of my 2-night, prepaid stay, and while I was out shopping they removed all my personal belongings from my room, stashed them in misc. trash bags and tossed them into the housekeeping closet, as their "glitch" made them believe I should've already checked out. They did not apologize, would not let me speak to a manager and would not issue a refund. In addition to this nightmare, you have the following to look forward to if booking at this property: -Property is dated and in disrepair -Property is not clean and is not maintained -AC in our room was broken -Staff at front desk is rude, uncaring, unfriendly, impolite, and not helpful. -Post-travel I, as well as Hotels.com has been unable to reach ANYONE at this property. I would not recommend this hotel at all. They have bed bugs/fleas and the customer service is terrible. I stayed for a weekend and woke up BIT UP! The pool and hot tub are disgusting, the water smells like garbage and you get a very strong smell of chlorine and other chemicals the whole time because the pool is indoors in the open. When I got here the blow dryer in my room didn't work and when I tried to use it almost caused an electrical fire. If I was able to give them no stars I would because they don't deserve anybody business. I will be suing and below are some pictures and videos. read more

THIS UPDATE IS FOR THE STAFF ONLY: Staff is great, they cleaned the hot tub and let me get in an hour early. They even laughed out loud at my awesome jokes about kids being loud and overcrowding the hot tub, which no one has ever done before! And I am a very funny person! I also voiced my complaints to the lady at the front desk and she offered me an upgrade for free! She put me in a room on the other end of the building (a room that does not have a door facing the massive, loud atrium area and my experience has been lightyears better. No kids and no loud noises. If you're a traveling professional, or just want to actually get some decent rest, ask for an odd-numbered room and I have no doubt that the great staff will hook you up! Thank you front desk lady!!! After reading many reviews from other sites, we went ahead and gave this Hotel a go.Apparently we got lucky and had a clean room with hot water. There was no thermostat that we could find but it was temperate. The complaint comes from the noise/inconsiderate hotel guests with dogs and children. Every little peep echos down the halls and lobby;feels as if they are in the room with you. Guess you can blame that on poor design of the building. read more

Super Nice Hotel. It is approx 40 years old and the combination of two hotels that sat beside each other back in the day. At some point they were combined and an awesome foyer / atrium area was built. I inspected one of the rooms as my daughter is coming up from omaha to visit us. Everyone I spoke with was nice.. especially the guy running the coffee shop (I didn't get his name) I will update this review after my daughter stay based on how thin ****UPDATE**** So my daughter called and booked the exact room that the manager was kind enough to let me view. I feel bad because my daughter stayed here and several things ruined her mini vacation. The manager told me that the indoor heated pool would be open for her and her family to enjoy and every morning ...all three days they told her tomorrow... tomorrow and tomorrow never came :( Also the heater did not work in the room and she was told the boiler was not working right??? I can only assume since this is two super old hotels that have been combined that they did not update the heating and air. Why they would spend so much money refurbishing and updating everything else and not put in central air and heat is beyond me. read more

They had bed bugs in multiple rooms, their response was we can move your room. They give us a towel from the front desk with blood on it. Located in a great area. Nearby shopping center & gas stations. The hotel itself is outdated. AC in our room was from the 1800s and didn't work. We went to the front desk and told them and they provided us with a fan. Room walls are paper thin. I could hear my neighbors breathing through the walls. Our bathroom had ants & there were ants near the AC unit as well. Breakfast was okay nothing special. Pool was basic but the kids enjoyed it. Might stay here again if there's nothing else available. This hotel has potential. Staff is great. And by staff I mean the maintenance team. Super friendly. The front desk staff seems stressed and overworked. Very poor hotel. Photos online do not represent the actual conditions of the room or amenities at this hotel. Numerous issues. Initial room was on first floor and when we entered it reeked of smoke that had been attempted to be camouflaged with cleaning products. Small bedroom area but large bathroom. Went back to the front desk and got a different room as the smell was intolerable. New room on 4th floor. Larger bedroom but tiny bathroom. So tiny the door almost touched the toilet. No powered exhaust fan in the bathroom. There's nowhere in the room to place luggage other than on the desk. The king-sized bed was uncomfortable and we could hear springs making noise just sitting on the bed. And it seems the bed is sitting on top of a large metal drum. Pillows were very small...standard size or smaller on a king bed. Flat and not fluffy. The pool and hot tub looked cloudy and dirty. Not inviting. The only good things I have to say are that the staff at the front desk seemed overworked yet remained friendly and helpful. Same for the cleaning personnel. We stayed at this hotel (it had been prepaid) for 6 days and we finally made it down for the free breakfast one of those days only to be disappointed. The French toast was hard as a rock. Truly unable to put my fork into it or cut it with a knife. This property was last renovated in 2019 which doesn't seem all that long ago but it is in dire need of renovations and modernization. I wish I could give them a zero. At the breakfast buffet, which cost $11, they put out a cereal that was labeled as cocoa crispies. My son and his grandparents were getting breakfast and did not know what cocoa crispies should look like. They checked the label in good faith. It was not Cocoa Krispies, but as you can see in the picture or something entirely different, I believe it was a Reese's puffs cereal. My son with a peanut allergy began to react immediately. After making sure he was taken care of and safe I try to speak to the individual in charge. Told me they did not in fact, give him the wrong thing. After we showed them, they basically said oh well. Nobody seem to care that my son was having a reaction. They left it out on the buffet until finally my husband insisted they take it off. Still, there was never any apology or acknowledgment that they could have caused my son to end up in the hospital or even die. My husband called the manager and they never replied to his phone call. Actually, it looks like they are trying to erase the incident as the invoice has magically erased on the choice properties app. I have never seen a Company care less about my sons, peanut allergy or care less about their own negligence. If you have a food allergy, do not eat the over priced breakfast buffet. Also be aware that the hotel is in general, pretty shabby and horribly run. The staff is rude, hostile, and at best passive aggressive. Truly the worst experience I have ever had at a hotel. I am just glad we got out of the experience without my son being hospitalized. read more

The air conditioning system flooded the wall a big bubble formed and it flooded the ground the bathroom is small you have to pull on the faucet on the shower to turn it on and have to spin it 2 times the furniture is chipped the beds are hard and the pool is very very cold the lobby is nice but not the rooms unless you are on the new part but it is bad too the light switch did not work the closet door did not work bad parking spots and the elevator was broken, and some of the rooms were under construction I would not recommend this place at all the pool is so small. It is probably the size of a walking closet and the hot tub is as big as a bathroom. We wanted to enjoy a nice vacation but it was hard to sleep on there beds and when I woke up I had a bites on me and if u want to have a vacation I do not recommend this place read more

I have noticed most hotels don't seem to have security anymore, and there was a family cleaning out their huge car, spraying it to death and throwing rubbish into the parking lot charg not sure what language they were speaking, but they definitely don't know how to be respectful of the property. Clean, quiet, comfortable. Free guest wi-fi. Showers were nice with plenty of hot water. Comfy beds and pillows. Free coffee available all hours of our stay. Breakfast is not free but that's fine as I don't like breakfast and just prefer the complimentary coffee. Glad I did not have to pay in my room charge for a breakfast I don't eat. However, I saw the breakfast and it looked generous for the reasonable price. Staff friendly. We stayed to be near a medical facility and staff kindly arranged for a late check out so we did not have to wait as long in the medical facility. Adequate fitness room. Pool and hot tub available. Huge lobby. I'm picky but this is a hotel to which I would definitely return. read more

Absolutely GROSS! Bed bugs or fleas in our beds. Pulled our sheets back found an old piece of cereal in the bed. Found stuff in the room line it hadn't been cleaned in weeks. Pisted all over the hotel NO pets at check in at least 3 dogs came in and out of the lobby. They were not registered service dogs since they were not wearing their service dog vests. Told the front desk about the issues twice they didn't care. Front deal people are very lazy and RUDE! To top it off we're told free breakfast from 6am-10am to find out they expect you to pay. Pool stunk like urine and the talk is someone crapped in the hot tub:( I think a child was $10 and adult $15. don't waste your money on this dump! read more

Until I discovered it was bed bugs, I immediately checked out a day early and advised the hotel what was happening. Little did I know nobody seemed to care less about what happened. I requested a refund and manager denied it "due to cancellation policy", oh but its okay to get sick from being there and nobody is giving one cent about it. We stayed here while we were out of town visiting family and this was the closest to their home. The hotel smelt very old and musty. In the very front entrance the ceiling leaked and there was a bucket to catch the water. The public trash cans were full everyday to the point people were putting the trash on top of the trash can and on the ground near it. No one ever came to clean our room, give us new towels and left us with one roll of toilet paper for 3 nights. We had to call twice because every time we flushed the toilet it leaked out on the floor and smelled. No one came to look at it and when we called about it we were told "yes a ticket for Maintence has been created". Not a clean or kept up property. read more

The room we stayed in was room #236 was too hot and smelled like smoke. The AC/Fan was going all night and super loud. The room right next us (room 234) was super loud and I could hear them all the way up until 6am and I couldn't get any sleep from being too hot and the room being too loud and throughout the night there were sounds of people rattling on the door like they were wanting to break in. I got the room for a Black Friday deal but for $66 and no rest was definitely not a good deal one bit!! The man at the front desk didn't even cared to ask how my stay was when I was checking out at 8am on Sunday Dec 1, 2019. And he made it sound like as though it was my fault for telling him in the morning instead of reporting it. Just got back from a business trip to Overland Park, KS. I did not chose or pay for this hotel and I'm glad I didn't. Upon check in the girl at the front desk was on a personal call and would not hang up to check me in. Once checked in went up to my room and surprise the key did not work so I had to go back down and get it fixed. I got in my room and wasn't impressed. Cracks above the closet door holes in the walls and the hallway smelled like cigarettes in a non smoking hotel. The pool was dirty, couldn't even see the bottom and hair was floating everywhere. Hot tub was also dirty and very foggy. Make sure if you want the god awful breakfast that you purchase a breakfast ticket if not you will be yelled at by the guy that runs the restaurant. BREAKFAST IS NOT FREE!!! All in all this hotel is crap. read more

There's no hot chocolate or complimentary breakfast like it said on the website. The temperature controls on the rooms don't work. Certain rooms don't have a window to the outside. There are no ceiling lights, only lamps. The tv only gets certain channels and you can't stream anything on it. I don't recommend this hotel at all. read more

Not recommended We were very disappointed on this hotel. We went looking for our room and walked all the way to the end of the hall to find we had to to back to the beginning, go through 2 doors and then all of the way down that hallway to get to our room. I don't know of it was just that area or the whole hotel, but the area we were in was old and smelled horrible. The room was very noisy and you can hear your neighbors talking. There was pounding going on around midnight. Not sure what that was about but kind of hard to sleep with that happening. The refrigerator made weird loud gurgling noises and the ceiling above the absorbent was black. You could see where it's been blowing dirt and who knows what into the room. The next morning @6AM, thefire alarm went off in our room. We waited for a knock on the door, but No one came. I called the front desk and was told they would be there shortly. Shortly? They never even asked if there was a fire which makes me believe this happens often. Scary! It was several minutes before anyone showed up to check it out. We had two bars of soap in the room and when we opened them, they were dried out and discolored. They were white but the corners were brught yellow. The bathroom was extremely small and there was stuff on the floor that was sticky in one spot which told me the floor had not been cleaned and mopped before our arrival. With the virus floating around, I would have expected the room to be cleaned thoroughly but it was not. They do not offer breakfast with the room. You have to pay for that. 10.00 per person. There was two hazards we encountered when we first arrived that could have resulted in a lawsuit. I pointed them out to an employee but he acted like "it isn't my job" so we didn't say anymore. I would not waste my money on this place again. It is nasty. read more

This place was disgusting it was supposed to no pet hotel and there were dogs everywhere you have to pay for the breakfast Wich was ridiculous I found a hair in my food the staff told me it was mine!!!! Last time I checked I didn't have long black hair and it's 25 dollars for a adult plate and 16 for a kid and the food was horrible!!! The pool smelt like pee so did the hot tub there was stuff floating around in it and you can tell it hasn't been cleaned for awhile but that's not the worst part!!! The hotel room was filthy and there was a strong odor from the room and the bed had cereal all over it and I know it was not mine. I couldn't even sleep because I kept getting bit bye something it was flees and bed bugs I told the staff about it and they could care less and after I told the staff they told me I didn't put down my 25 dollar deposit I was highly confused the 25 dollar deposit was to make sure you don't damage anything this hotel was gross and nasty never again and I couldn't even get a refund the staff was very rude!!! A multiple night stay in room 343. The desk clerk misplaced my driver's license at check-in. Thankfully, she returned it later that evening after I went down and inquired about it. Miserable first night as HVAC did not have an on/off position; the morning desk clerk told me I needed to place it in economy mode. The bar was never open although the clerk told me it would be open, along with the restaurant, on the weekend. The restaurant was open for breakfast only although hot coffee was not available until about 06:20 and the food was slop - fake eggs, putrid sausage, a type of potato, hash. And sausage gravy to toss on top. OJ was available but never any fruit. The lobby was cavernous, smelt of chlorine and overall was not pleasant or welcoming. The carpets in the hallways were dirty, there was corrosion/mold on the air registers in the hallways - pretty unsettling. The cover on the ice machine on the 3rd floor was missing for a couple of days and then when placed, the machine did not work. One morning there was a fair amount of blood on the tile floor near this same ice machine. The room next to me was loud on three of the nights - two nights well into the morning until around 3am. There was no phone in the room to call the desk. Quite possibly the worst hotel in which I have ever stayed. read more

We stayed at this hotel 4-9-22 and checked out on 4-10-22. I would never stay here again. We booked online, where the hotel is listed as 3.5 stars. It's not. After I checked in we had to drive around the parking lot for 20 minutes trying to find a spot. We called the front desk and they suggested we park on the "upper lot." They do not have an upper lot, it is just the lot next door. We parked up there and had to walk down a grass hill, very steep, no stairs. Also, no lighting and no line of sight to the entrance of the hotel. The place is perfect for becoming a crime victim. After we got in the room, we pulled the sheet back and found a hole in the sheet and a stain. My wife called the front desk and they said we could come down to the desk and get a new sheet. My wife asked to speak to the manager and the person at the desk said he would bring up a sheet right away. He did bring it up, but we had to strip the bed and remake it ourselves. Also we had to use stairs every time as there was no elevator on the side of the hotel we were on. I would not recommend this hotel to anyone, and we will call Radisson Corp. headquarters to let them know how their brand is being represented in Lenexa. read more
