In fact, I found it quite nice. The hotel isn't so big, but it still got a small bar, which next to the restaurant there got here, close to reception also got a computer that for people who might needs. There is a bus stop could take people right to the center of Lübeck, around 5 minutes. Sure, if you like you can walk on foot as well, it took me around 13 mins to get to Holstentor. The hotel room which I was staying was actually quite a nice one. I found it really clean and comfortable, and the whole looked really nice, I think it was probably one of the nicest rooms here. The design of the bathroom kind of remind me the men's room I saw in Deutsche Bann, but an upgrade version of that, really practical. There was no safe in the room, need to go to the reception for that. The procedure was quite simple. The breakfast of the hotel was alright, it wasn't super a lot options, but they got most all the them, Fruits, Cereals, breads, bacons and so on. There was even a small section for gluten free food and a Waffle machine for the guests, people could just DIY their very own waffle, quite cool. They offer free WIFI to use for the guests as well. The staff was quite friendly, I have a nice stay here. The price of the hotel room was alright, week days are much cheaper. For a business or short staying this could be a cool choice.

This is where I stay when I go to Lubeck - it was down the street from my grandparents house which was the main reason because she knew our family but also it's just out of the town about a 20 min walk along the river The street is quiet and the rooms are refreshing. I absolutely LOVE LOVE LOVE the breakfast in this place. If you are an "american" you're not going to get your fry up of eggs and bacon. Your typical German brekkie is a hard boiled egg, along with hot fresh rolls from the bakery (which are to die for - the butter and bun just melts in your mouth) along with your classic cold cuts and cheese. If you are ify on those options she also has a some yogurt to the side and some musli. Of course I always some back to this Pension because we personally know one another and have stayed with her many times that is forms a relationship but her prices are reasonable, it's clean and she is friendly Last time I saw her she was picking up a few english phrases - of course language is kind of a barrier but she's getting there :) If you do give her a try - walk to the end of Bulowstr and head into the park to walk towards the town... there are a few lovely picture ops where you can get the whole city in the background if you stand at the top of the hill :)

The design of the rooms are sleek and modern and our business superior had a comfy bed, big sofa, large gorgeous bathroom and a seperate toilett. The hotel is located about 10 min walking distance from old town wich is handy. They have lots of parking space on the back at 13 € a night. The cleaning was good and the service nice. The restaurant offers large portions of tasty pasta dishes at very good prices. Good so far. But......When you stay at such a nice hotel and pay around 160 €/ night you expect to have climate control. Or at least i do. When it was about 32 degrees outside al day it was very difficult to sleep at night even though we opened the windows. So an AC would be a great investment. No minibar and no icemachine close by does not feel 2017. One of those two so you could get a cold softdrink or beer in the heatwave would have helped a lot. Conclusion? Nice looking hotel with some strong points. The next time we would probably at least choose a hotel with climate control if we are travelling in the middle of the summer. Would consider this hotel at a somewhat later rate and at the colder seasons.
