Not for Veterans! Ameris bank refused my online application…read morewith a cryptic "application denied, email to follow" message. The email had no info other than "we denied you, please call us for details". I called and was told that I "don't meet online risk profile". No one there could explain further. The first person told me this was from their security department and he didn't know what it meant. I asked to speak to the security department and was denied. I explained that I am a veteran with medical issues that prevent me from coming into a branch office and they had no way to open an account for me. Thanks for my service, I guess.

I get transferred from FFB, Live Oak, FL to FFB Loan Services in Virginia Beach, VA and still no one can answer one single question, much less two. The most frustrating experience I have ever had with a bank. I would not recommend First Federal of Florida for any type of loan. They do not seem to be structured to administratively handle the loan processes and do not have employees who can assist or even answer questions. Go to another more established bank and do business as it should be conducted.
