Don't bother with the RAC, don't bother with their replacement batteries. They replaced my battery with a faulty one that wouldn't hold its charge.
Their mechanic came out again as the car wouldn't start. I expected them to replace the faulty battery, but because it was under 11.9 volts of a 12v battery the warranty is invalid. He also said that the car needed to be used every week other the battery would fail. - imagine all those flat batteries during Covid and at airport carparks.
My only option was to buy another battery for another £183.99 or email the customer care team to raise my issue. I got the mechanic to try the new battery, to rule out their faulty one. Car started first time.
So I was left with the faulty battery and an email address.
The customer 'care' team shot down my complaint and told me to 'refer your complaint to the National Conciliation Service' and 'Our decision on this matter is now final and we will not be entering into any further correspondence.'
