Beautifully decorated, with a queen bed and another room with a pull out. The bathroom is gorgeous and has a jacuzzi tube. They don't do a hot breakfast, but have delicious breakfast supplies in the room for you (fruit, muffins, zucchini bread with chocolate chips, juice, milk, cereal, coffee, hot chocolate and oatmeal supplies). It was very private and relaxing. The windows look out over the horses in the paddock and you're welcome to enjoy their grounds. Definitely recommend this place!

Giving the Elwood Hotel and Suites 4 stars. You may be wondering, why? Check-in was easy, I showed…read moremy ID, did my incidental deposit, and on a went. I've stayed at a few boutique/privately owned hotels before, and I will say, I've always been concerned about lack of security. I liked the fact that you needed a key card to get to the actual hotel portion of this hotel, which made me feel better about my safety, but will say I didn't see anyone at the desk when I left early in the morning (around 6am) on my departure date. My room was super spacious. I had a corner room that had two separate rooms, one included a sofa and sitting room with a TV, bathroom, and wetbar, which included a microwave and refrigerator, which was a nice touch. I also had a separate bedroom with a large king bed. Why the four stars? Temperature wise, it didn't seem like the thermostat worked well. When I adjusted it, it would go back to the original temp, so it made the room either too cold or too warm at times. The second thing that I docked a star for was I was on the third floor and when I arrived on the third floor, I got a whiff of cigarettes. I never saw anyone on this floor, so I don't know if it was actually someone, or it was embedded in the carpet. The good thing is the smell was NOT in the room, so that was a positive. I wish the bed had been a tad more comfortable, but if you like a firm mattress, they have the bed for you. Beware, this hotel is near a local hospital, so you may need to bring a sound machine to drown out the siren noises.

We were hosting around 50 people from California, Colorado and Washington that were coming to Kentucky for the first time for my daughters wedding. I had previously been on pre arranged tours with this company and was never disappointed! I was a tad nervous to try and plan a tour for so many people on my own but after the first phone call I knew I had nothing to worry about. Deanna and staff put together a few different tours at different price points for us to choose from We choose an all day tour, we visited Buffalo Trace Distillery, Glen Willis historic home for lunch and Town Branch Distillery along the way our awesome tour guide Mike provided us with facts about the beautiful Kentucky horse farms, country-side and Kentucky history.

If you go to Larrikin you need to try their maple bourbon cream. It's unbelievable. Their bourbon and gin are also excellent. Halfway through the tour we stopped at a bbq spot to refuel.
