This brand is synonymous with quality. How would I know? They've only been going nearly a hundred years with handcrafted single piece leather boots nigh on $600 NZD made in Australia.
I had tried their beaut boots on at my local menswear store. The sales associate at my local nearly had me buy these from his store. But as things turned out, I ended up in Auckland City for training. Very serendipitous because this meant I was in the vicinity of RM Williams.
The store is vast. It has a wide variety of men's clothing with some women's clothing too. For now, at this stage of my life I wear another clothing label. So I guess these clothes aren't really my style.
As for the boots, I've owned more than ten pairs of Timberland™ boots. But having now bought my very first pair of R.M. Williams boots, I'll never buy another pair of Tim's again. Even compared to my black 6" black or tan or black premium Tim's, these shoes are superior.
The only boots I've owned better than these were a pair of Italian hiking boots, designed for extreme weather and twice the price of my R.M Williams.
Now, the only downside is that I will be getting rid of my Timberland™ clothing and boots and replacing it all with closer to home, R.M. Williams branded shoes and apparel. So I guess it ain't all that bad really. read more
