It's a decent enough size to have everything you need, without being too big to even attempt wading through. The layout of the store seems fairly straightforward and I usually find what I need with little effort. Rebel Sport is similar to Briscoes in many ways in that you'd be silly to pay full price for anything in-store - there is ALWAYS a sale of some sort on so wait until they have 25% off storewide or better! No point paying more for something when it'll likely be half price come the weekend. There is adequate parking and although it gets busy on the weekends it's still worth a visit.

While it does have a good selection of stuff, I'm not sure that it's much cheaper than a regular store. That seems to be the case with most outlet stores these days. Anyways, despite that I did manage to get a few items that kept me insulated through the winter. Icebreaker stuff is pretty hardy so I shouldn't need another trip until 2014 now :) If you're on the North Shore and like a bargain it's worth a visit as there are four or five other outlet stores in this strip of shops.

I like the dress rules of golf, it keeps it civilised, and stops trouble makers from causing hassles on the course. Good golf gear is normally quite expensive, so I buy most of my stuff on the internet, only shopping at stores to see what's new on the market. Golf Gear in Albany is not your average shop, and you can get products at wholesale prices, making it much better on the pocket. The stock is limited though, but the guy working the counter was full of stories and really helpful. Ooooh and I loved their golf bags, now there's a reason to return.

That's why I consider Ultimate Surf Shop so... well, ultimate. If it's anything surfing orientated you're after, Andre or one of the other knowledgeable staff will certainly be able to suss you out. Whether you want to go all out and buy yourself a brand new board or just stop in for a chat about what the surf is doing and grab a new block of wax this is the place to go. They cater to nooby as learners, eager grommets and old grumpy long boarders. The custom J Dub quad fin board I got from the boys at Ultimate has showed me some seriously good times in the surf. A new addition to Ultimate surf is the Ultimate Skate shop upstairs. Absolutely anything skate will be stored up here and Jesse knows his stuff! He recently put together a board for my boyfriend. I was so thankful he could make the process so simple for me because if I was asked to choose a deck and bearings and wheels and all the other crap going on I wouldn't have known where to start! This is a pop up outdoor clearance store, which I guess means it's not going to be around forever…read more It doesn't actually say how long the sale is for, but they have heaps of stock in here to get rid of. For anyone who needs outdoor gear, this place is great. They have all the well known and quality brands for sale, and it's all pretty well discounted. If you don't actually need anything though I'd suggest that you should probably stay away as you'll end up buying something that you don't need, like I did. The store itself is not what you'd call a designer's masterpiece, but I guess there's no need for it to be pretty when it's not going to be there forever. It serves its purpose, which is to sell cheap outdoor gear and lots of it. Oh they also have some snowboard clothing near the back.
