This was probably the best, most comfortable and professional dental experience of my life. The staff got me in right away (the next morning) and were so warm and lovely. Their offices were professional, really clean and quite state of the art. I saw a beautiful female dentist (not relevant, but she is!) who I *believe* is Dr. Danya Mougharbel, but am not positive and a really friendly female hygienist, both very professional and welcoming. The dentist discovered my gums around the crown were very inflamed and that I needed some gum surgery before the crown could be readhered, which was fine. I felt nothing -- seriously, whatever magic numbing juju they use is miraculous because I felt literally nothing and my face didn't feel like it was sliding off my head, either. Really localized anesthesia -- well done! She reseated the crown and it felt immediately 100% better. No discomfort, no pain, and my bite finally felt normal, which it never had since I'd had the crown initially applied. I was thrilled. I was a little nervous about the cost, but considering they saw me immediately, did surgery and used industrial super mega space shuttle adhesive to keep my crown on (okay, not space shuttle glue), I was pleasantly surprised by a roughly £200 bill. I wish I'd gotten my crown here to begin with! They were so helpful in sending the photos and my file to my US dentist so I could dispute their work. Really immediate customer service by the office management. Thank you, Kings Cross Dental Clinic! I want to come back for a cleaning before I go home!

I admit that as the daughter of an orthodontist I might be a little bit spoiled when it comes to my teeth, but at least I know they are clean and healthy. The only reason they don't have 5 stars is because I didn't feel like the cleaning was THAT thorough. Either my dentist at home is SUPER OCD and likes to pick on me about everything, or this dentist really didn't seem to care that I am having some pain in one of my teeth. Good, professional, and friendly service…read more Chipped a tooth for the first time in my life last night. After a few minutes of panic, and convincing myself I was not in a crumbling tooth dream, I started doing Google searches to figure out what to do. In the midst of this I ended up clicking on a Google Ad and being directed to a "24 hour" dental place. Turns office in my area is not 24 hours, so made an appointment for the morning. After I finally found the hidden location, I walked into the dingy office and the receptionist curtly told me they did not show customers the price list, and would charge £25 just to tell me how much they would charge. Luckily I happened to pass by Malmin on the way. The office itself was clean and professionally maintained. I popped in and the friendly receptionist patiently answered my many questions, let me take the price list, and could quote me a price, and agreed to waive the new patient fee since I this was going to be a one off procedure. The prices were better than the dingy hole-in-the-wall, and she could offer me an appointment the same day! The dentist and his assistant were equality friendly, and showed concern for my comfort throughout the procedure. Dentist seemed quite skilled. He explained that he intentionally under-filled the chip since it was was in the front that that would protect it a bit. Also said that if came out he would replace it (once) free of charge. At the end of the procedure he showed care filling down the filling and making sure it felt good to my tongue. I was in and out in 30 minutes, with my tooth restored. Although I will miss that little chip. RIP little tooth piece.
My experience with Dr Amin has been nothing short of phenomenal!…read more My wife used to be afraid of dentists after a painful experience with another dentist in the past. Presently, her wisdom tooth was hurting a lot but she would not go to anyone because of her past experience. Due to the pain, I finally took her to Dr Amin. Firstly, the clinic was very clean and inviting. The staff were very pleasant and then there came the dentist! Dr Amin explained the entire procedure to her in exceptional detail. She then went through the procedure and said that she did not even feel even the slightest of pain! There are some rare dentists that have the gift of the trade and Dr Amin is definitely one. After this, I brought my parents to Dr Amin and once again, they got the best treatment I have ever seen. Dr Amin was able to use some equipment to immediately have a 3D image made which I have never seen. The teeth were then operated on and once again happy customers. This happened many years ago and as much as we like to see Dr Amin, we have never needed to go to any dentist. All in all highly recommended and one of the best in the profession!

Church St is the show piece of Stoke Newington…read more It's the kind of place where you might say Let's go out on Church St Like you might say let's go out in Camden meaning that the area has so many choices that you can decide exactly which bars or restaurant you'll go to based on how things feel when you arrive. The people of Church st are its best asset. I think it feels like a kind of east meets west point, where the people of the Hackney estates mingle with the Islington spill over middle class. You are in far more danger of being run over by a pram than being mugged. The range of food options is excellent. From cafe, to pizzaria, to Indian or Thai, the unifying factor seems to be that they are smallish, independent, and striving for excellence within a very competitive market. The bars are not as diverse as the restaurants, being mostly variations on traditional English pubs. The best thing about them though is there strong focus on live music. There would be three or four options for live music on any given Friday or Saturday nights and many other gigs during the week. The shops on Church St are I guess quite Bohemian. Lots of alternative fashion, but also second hand book shops, organic food, small bike shop and a guy that seems to sell, repair and make, cellos, double bases and violins. (What could be more Bohemian than that?) Wen you add to this two parks a Library and an inpressive Victorian Church, I think that Church St Stoke Newington is clearly one of London's coolest streets.
