The man sitting behind the desk looked up over his bifocals at me, and asked if he could help me in a tone that didn't exactly seem friendly. I guess I don't look like his typical well-heeled customers, or maybe he's not used to people showing up unannounced just to look around. However, the owner of Davishire was much more welcoming. At the front of Davishire, you'll find and assortment of fine antique jewelry and figurines. The antique furniture here is beautiful and flawless, and there's a lot of it. But to me, the exciting part of the store was the artwork, which included some of the most interesting oil and antique paintings I've ever seen for sale around town.

By the time we sat down for our first in-person meeting, half of the budget had been used and we had to pare down the scope to one room - the living room. We worked with Sara on the main pieces of furniture (sofa, dining room table, chairs, rug), but by then we'd already gone over the original 3-room budget and couldn't afford more design costs to complete the look and her vision - such as lighting, artwork, side tables, media cabinet, and entry table. So we spent what we hoped would cover design for three rooms in our apartment and ended up without even one completed room. That said, Sara was a pleasure to work with. Her team members are very smart, organized, and detail oriented. But we regret our experience and having invested so much money.
