After talking with a few of their previous clients and hearing positive reviews, I hired Redemption…read moreContracting to paint my house in June. They gave me a very low bid and I was wondering if it was too good to be true. But considering the good reviews, I went ahead with it. They started a few days after when they said they'd be here, but I didn't see a big deal because the weather had been bad. When they did come, they came late in the afternoon and never stayed a full day working, it was usually just a few hours here and there. I found this to be a little odd, but who cares, as long as the house looks good! But... it didn't! I took a walk around the house and sent him some pictures of the house that I wasn't happy with (I'll post them here as well). To be clear, these pictures were taken after he said he was done with the house. This is his finished work! When I asked him to come up and fix a few things, he got defensive, but said he would be up in a week or so to fix things (direct quote). He tried to blame Sherwin Williams on the bad paint job, and said that it was because the paint wasn't shaken properly. Sherwin Williams said that's not the case, that the splotchy affect you see in the pictures is due to spraying and painting over top of it. Basically, bad application. Anyways, this was on the 26th of June. I contacted him again on the 28th trying to see if I could get a definite date he would be up. He again said it wouldn't be for a week or so because of the rain, and I said that was no problem, I understood. I tried to make this message nice so we could hopefully end on a good note. But after that he never contacted me again and never came to fix the job. I texted him again on Tuesday August 10th for the first time, showing him some more pictures. He gave me Britt's number to contact her. Upon contacting her she told me I was on the books for October 29th. I sad that is unacceptable at this point, I need this finished by the end of the month. She again said October 29th or nothing. By this point I was fed up and fired them! She proceeded to say the house looks good, and warned me not to make a bad review because that would be "defamation". I had refrained from giving them a bad review because I wanted to give them a chance to own up for this situation, but obviously we are past that point. To be clear, I'm not interested in suing or getting money back or anything like that, I just want people to see this review before potentially hiring this company.
