I normally don't write reviews, but as I get older I've come to rely on reviews and recommendations, so I decided I was going to write one since my experience was less then good. It's long, but I think it's worth the read.
So I called Dr. Dihn's office as a new patient because my last ob/gyn moved, and I have to say this is the most poorly ran front office I've ever seen!! I spoke to Cynthia and she took my insurance information and set me up in their system, then told me I would need to have my records released from my previous dr, so I asked how I was to go about that... Do I call them and have them fax it to y'all? Do y'all contact them and have them send it to you directly?? I've never done this before, so you tell me. So she said either way would work. I thought this was weird, because normally offices have a set procedure on how to handle new patients instead of letting the patients decide, right?? That should have been my first clue. *rollseyes*
Well I called my previous dr's office and they said to go to their website and print out the Release of Information form and give it to Dr. Dinh's office to fax over so they can get my medical record. So I did just that, then called Dr. Dinh's office back and spoke with little Miss Cynthia again, got the email address to send the form to, and was told I would receive a call back to schedule an appt when they received my information. This little process took me less than an hour.
Sent the form and 2 days go by.
I call Dr. Dinh's office back. "Hello Mrs B... I'm sorry, we never received the form. I'm looking in the email right now, and I don't see it!"
Me - "Well I sent it, how weird."
"Oh wait - I see it here. I was looking at the wrong thing! Haha!! :D"
(haha? ...does it LOOK like my uterus is laughing, Cynthia??)
Now I've lost 2 days and am about to lose another one to process paperwork. So I wait about 3 hours to call my original ob/gyn's office, because I understand offices get busy and low and behold - They haven't got it yet. I call Cynthia back, she says she's sorry, she'll send it, yadda yadda. I call and verify she sent it, and she did. Good girl! You get 1 brownie point.
I call the other office and ask how long it will take to send the records over, and they say it has to go through their medical records department, taking 2 business days. Ugh. Now I've lost 4 days total. I wait 3 days, giving a day for Dr. Dinh's office to call me, and you guessed it - nothing. So I wait another day or so and call them back, just to be told she never received anything, but hesitant to believe her because I've heard that before when she had it in her inbox the whole entire time. I give her the benefit of the doubt, and call my other ob/gyn's office.
So I get a call back from the receptionist from my original ob/gyn's office and she said that they DID send it over to Dr. Dinh's office and get this -
Dr. Dinh's office REJECTED my Medical History Profile saying they didn't HAVE a profile on this patient. OMGosh are you KIDDING me?? So now i'm back to square ONE, and it's been a week and a half because dr's offices don't work on weekends!!
SO then I call the peach herself, Miss Cynthia, and tell her what happened. This girl. ... *breath* ... *rememberyou'reaChristianwoman* had the audacity to imply that it was something I, ME, MYSELF, did wrong. Understandably my patience was running thin, and I replied, "Ok I have been very patient this whole time. Is this what happens with all your new patients?? Because it doesn't seem like you'd have very many to me, and I'm starting not to trust this office very much. I don't think I want to do business with this office anymore." (This is where a respectable, professional office would apologize and do something to make it right)
Cynthia's reply: "Well that's your choice..." Then started saying other words... all I know is that they weren't the right ones.
My last words were, "Nope, I'm going somewhere else." Click.
So thank you, Cynthia and Dr. Dinh's office for your frustration and wasting nearly 2 weeks of my life for nothing. I will not be recommending your office to anyone, ever.
Please take note - The last thing you want to do is make the patient feel like it is their fault for your mistake(s). I recommend looking up the word integrity. read more
