Continuously saying they didn't have the order, and reconfirming my name 5-6 times with 3 different employees. ( a little disappointing, but nothing major.) So then I found something else to buy for dinner - perogies. Once I was ready to checkout, they came back saying they found my order - just time to find the actual dinner. 10 minutes later - nope. They had my order - but not the actual food. As they were sold out they said they couldn't offer me it. So then, I proceeded to checkout with my other groceries, and when I got home to cook the perogies, i followed the instructions on the bag - they all fell open and apart. Couldn't even eat them. The water looked like soup almost. Disgusting. And threw them out. Sandyview is a beloved local company - but it will be a long time before I feel I should go back and support them.

I also noticed that about 6 people came in while I was there and every customer was greeted by their first name! They also serve sandwiches made fresh and soup to go! All their deli meats were reasonably priced... no specials of the week... but $2.99 for 100 grams was pretty typical of their prices which is great for soidum nitrate and filler free deli meat! I go there often enough to assure any one who'd ask me that the clients who are not of Polish extraction are treated very politely, as they should be. Yes, the store sometimes turns into a little agora of Polish gossip and friendly banter, but this is quite common: all these small "ethnic" stores are alike, be it African, German, Greek, Indian, Italian, Pakistani - you name it. As for the products sold there: We have never experienced any problems. We do not eat pork so I cannot vouch for their pork-based cold cuts, yet they have chicken and turkey items, which are always fresh and excellent.
