I know we are in the middle of a pandemic here and I know everyone is tired of the restrictions, trust and believe I am! HOWEVER, when I asked if I could try some things on she said, "no the dressing rooms are closed." Ok, fine I get it. What I don't get is that she only glanced at me before she put her head down to continue working at the desk. I asked about the return policy. She answered w/ the enthusiasm of a wet sock! Still no conversation or encouragement. So, I went to each rack and returned each item. I got not so much as an I'm sorry, please come back, can I help you with anything else, or have a nice day. Nada! I was in retail over half my adult life and retail IS customer service. I just don't see it anymore. It's so very sad! Store selection continues to get smaller while Amazon gets bigger. Unfortunately for that store I will never be back. Not because of the dressing room situation but because of communication.

We ordered a sofa and love seat over Easter weekend 2016. Prices were 25% off that weekend and saw…read morethis as a reasonable deal. The pieces were manufactured by Fusion Furniture in Mississippi. Estimated time to arrival at Heritage's warehouse was 6-8 weeks and another 10 days for it to be shipped on to Maryland. This worked well for us as we had an event at our home for 3 June. These estimates were totally invalid. I contacted our salesperson Amy on 27 April and was informed everything was on track and should ship from MS 10 May and arrive to us ~ 2 weeks later. As of 10 May we were informed there was a delay and the furniture was to arrive at Heritage's warehouse 16 May...that didn't happen either. The furniture didn't arrive at Heritage till 1 June. All contact was initiated by phone or email from me. That was the only way to get answers. Follow up was always when I contacted them. I can't even reach a manager since she's (Regina) on vacation till 13 June. Amy is very poor at follow up. She even forgets which days she has off (since I call and she's off that day). Now we are told that the Home Delivery Service is allowed 2-3 weeks to deliver our furniture (which they picked up 8 June). So furniture ordered 26 March could finally arrive as late as 29 June...three (3) months after ordering and a full month after the original "worst case" delivery time-frame. While prices are reasonable, you cannot depend on accurate delivery dates or at least one salesperson following up with you. Never again...and since I'm originally from Hickory and many of my family worked in the furniture industry for most of their lives, I am embarrassed that the Hickory Furniture Mart has such companies within their walls.

We moved into a home in Huntersville and wanted to get the floors refinished, walls painted,…read morecarpets replaced, and stairs redone....a big job. I happened to see Little Wood Flooring on my way to coffee one morning and decided to go in and check it out. I am SO GLAD I did. John was incredibly helpful and even suggested a painter that they often team up with for touch ups and repairs after their work is done. 1. The carpet was installed and complete in one and a half days. 2. For our hardwood floors we decided to just go with a maintenance coat rather than a complete strip and refinish and they look beautiful, they shine and glow, all the dullness of age is gone. 3. Our stairs took a while and there were a couple of things wrong. I showed it to John and he is scheduling the fix for it. *The only thing I would say that they could improve upon is asking about what we want... When we told them we wanted to replace the stairs they were like okay we can do that .... We later had to set up a meeting with them to select what we wanted they were planning on just replacing the railing and balusters with the same exact style...luckily we had Logan come over with a book of styles and we showed him what we wanted...I wish they would have taken the initiative in the beginning of the process to ask "What style do you want" or "Hey there are a bunch of options. Let me show you" I would definitely recommend them to anyone with the caveat of make sure you remind them to show you options. Only showing pic of the stairs they were the most dramatic change.

I gave all the details of exactly what I needed and the in store agent wrote everything down. The store's owner asked that I come back on Saturday to start the process of ordering the shirts I needed. The owner was on speaker phone with the agent and myself. I told her I would come back Saturday morning at 10am. I was back at the store at 10am sharp and the agent said the owner wasn't there. He called her and she was in the hospital but her husband was getting off a flight and may be able to come to the store to help me. The agent called on put him on speaker and this is when things went left. He was never informed of my initial request and started asking for details that I'd already given both the agent and owner. This when I told him I'd already given that info and now I'm looking to simply get this process started. He started to explain his flight and traveling details which I cared zero about actually. I asked him what did all that have to do with me? He got irritated and said he couldn't help me.
