Let's start with the glazed doughnut. Glazed doughnuts are boring, right? Wrong! Not at Krispy Kreme or BCD. The BCD glazed is larger than a KK and it has a hint of cinnamon. The BCD glazed is as soft as the KK. Then there are the apple fritters. These heavenly treats are crisp on the edges and soft in the middle. They are sizeable too. Cinnamon rolls and the other doughnuts are very good. Run to BCD! They close at noon, but often sell out before then. Get those doughnuts before I arrive, or I will gain a million pounds!

My niece was visiting and said she wanted to check this spot out. I told her that we would need to get up at 5am and make the journey to the other side of town and beat the morning rush hour traffic! We did this on a Wednesday! It was about a 25 minute drive from where I live . When we arrived I was surprised that there were already patrons in the building! It is clear this place is loved! The gentleman that was checking out when we entered order 4 donuts and said " I will see you in a few days!"! I love this for them! It's nice to be loved by your customers! I wanted to try a regular glazed donut but also ordered a sour cream and a blueberry to try ! I think my total was about $5.50 or 6 bucks. I did get two glazed - one for a friend. My niece ordered a glazed and an apple fritter. When we got in the car to make the journey home my niece decided to try her glazed donut! She bit into it and said oh yessss, this is good !! I did not want to break my fast with sugar so I ended up waiting until I ate a proper breakfast prior to trying the ones I purchased. I tried the glazed first . I just cut off a small piece! First impression- ok - it's good - but it's not like the one I love in New Orleans. I then tried the blueberry donut! Now that one-- amazing! I ended up eating the entire donut! The sour cream one did not do anything for me ! If I was in the area wanting a sweet treat I would stop by this donut shop.

I had the jerk chicken lunch special, comes with your choice of rice and cabbage, I cannot give them enough praise for how good the jerk chicken was. The second my plastic fork touched it, the chicken just fell off the bone. Every bite, falling off the bone . Had just the right amount of spice, & a really nice heat. Reminded me of food I've only had in NY, please go give them a try! I cannot wait to go back and try more. The service was quick, I thought I would have a wait but it was ready fairly quick. Ambiance was nice and calm, place was clean, had a great selection of drinks. So glad I spent my money here and not someplace disappointing!
