My company had a very disappointing experience. Employer met with Josh, the sales person, and…read morediscussed his design wishes for his truck lettering & new logo in great detail. The boss asked Josh for several different designs and told him money was not object, "wow me", he said, and paid them $150.00 down. Every time you request a change of the proof after the first 2, they charge $15.00. Now the fun starts... The proof came back looking like a small magnetic sign on both sides and on the tailgate, just what we were trying to get away from! It looked just like the jpg picture we sent to them originally. We requested a black phone number with yellow outline, company colors. Sure, no problem! Josh said. The proof came back with white outline, not yellow as requested. Our emailed reply: I thought it would save us all a lot of time if I just did a mock up of what Jerry and I would like to see on the truck. Attached are pictures of what we want for the side and the tailgate. As you can see, we want the logo to look like our logo, with white on the inside background but not the outside. END So I created pictures of what we wanted, so they would know exactly what the boss requested. Sent those pictures to Josh with a long, detailed explanation. Our logo has a white center with lettering, and they removed the white and changed our logo. Leave our logo alone, I said, and just cut the white away from the outside. Make the signs as large as possible, move them and see how they fit. The emails back and forth, and creating the pictures to give them an idea of what we wanted, took up hours of our time. Our email: I have once again attached the designs of what we are looking for, tailgate and sides. We don't care if customers can read the phone number on the tailgate when they drive by, and we don't want the logo stripped of the white color that makes it our logo - I did tell you in my other email that we wanted the logo left alone. I have seen other vehicles with the lettering on the handles, vehicle logos, etc. You cannot do that for us, make it as large as we want? If that is considered a vehicle "wrap" instead of a decal, then perhaps you could provide the details on that. Please let me know if your company is able to provide these designs the way they have been submitted to you. END Josh kept telling me why the signs couldn't be as large as the mockups I sent, but that is not what we asked for! Their email: I attached a second proof of the tailgate of the truck mocked up a bit different. The original logo has a website that you won't be able to see especially if you're driving down the road. I mocked it up with a smaller logo and made the phone number big so that you would be able to see it from afar. As stated above, contact the sales rep to give suggestions. END After many emails and days of frustrating exchanges back and forth, we cancelled the order and asked for a refund, telling them to let their conscience be their guide. They kept 25% of the original charge for both doors and tailgate of the truck. Josh was very nice throughout, but he just did not understand what we wanted, which was our unadulterated logo as big as it would fit on the doors and the tailgate. Sounds pretty simple to me, but they thought it was OK to change our logo even after we asked them not to! They did work on it and submit a few proofs of stuff we didn't ask for, but they wasted our time and money.

As a board member for the Homeless Alliance, I've also worked with them again recently on a project to help improve some of the Homeless Alliance's branding and marketing materials. These folks are wonderful to work with, and their process is fascinating. The name Robot House has a whole story and meaning, and the guys use it in the process of building a brand identity. You start by filling out a fun questionnaire that helps them understand what you do and why. They take those answers and come up with a "blueprint" where you get to go through with them and see their inspiration and influences they are using to put together the logo and other elements of a marketing plan. When they've cleared that plan with the client, they finalize the materials and present them to your group. They think of everything in this process, and it feels like you/the client are integral to the road map that led you to the final product. By the time you see the logo, you feel like you knew where it was going and you're ready for it. They really think about your other needs too and develop templates and pieces you can use to make it work for you across social media, print, web, etc. I have loved working with these guys (and, the amazing intern Sarah) and their process, and I'm all about working with them in the future.

These people are poor business people all the way around. I went to them on a referral! Ha. They…read moredid a poor job on my banner lay out, would not return emails in a timely manner, told me a server crashed for 15 days and then rushed my order to print it the day before the event. Sending proofs I could not even read, and telling me they looked great on their end. The day of my event I picked them up in a hurry paid cash for them, and left. I got the event hung them and all the information was wrong, address, phone, they cut it to big so all the pictures looked to small and there was a lot of extra unused space. The lay out was horrible. Not to mention because they were over sized they didn't have enough grommets the hang flat so they buckled. I asked them to stamp them with their company logo if they thought the work was great and they did not. This event hosted thousands of people. I had to put the banners up because the space required it. After the event I sent an email letting them know I was not happy and wanted a refund. I did not wish for them to re make these banners. They were defensive, rude and downright insulting. The business person who referred me pulled her business immediately.. Josh and his wife are poor at communicating, do shoddy work at best and over charge for the poor work they are putting out. I give them a 0 they are the worst.

Let's just say, they really know what they're doing! I didn't really have much of a vision for the look of my brand or packaging, but they took what little ideas I gave them and turned them into gold! liquidfish is easy to work with. They're very customer service oriented, which is important to me. When working with them, you know your satisfaction is paramount. liquidfish keeps current on trends and relevant design for your product/business. I feel like my packaging can compete with any of the big brands on the shelves. I also feel that my packaging outshines all of my competitors' packaging who sell on the same level as I do at the moment (I am not biased at all ;);)). I sincerely apologize for not being able to look at your source code and develop a proposal in a timely manner. It requires resources that are currently under the gun on pre-existing projects. I talked with a PM last week and thought initially we would have the time to analyze your project earlier in the week, but we have not. I'm sorry, but we just don't have the resources right now.
