My son began attending Quick Stars Tutoring in 2023 before entering 6th grade for SSAT preparation, and Tracy has been a tremendous help from the very beginning. Scheduling sessions has always been easy, flexible, and consistent. They truly take the time to match students with the right tutor based on their individual needs, which reflects how professional and dedicated their team is. After taking about a year off, I noticed a slight decline in my son's study habits, which led us to enroll him again during his 8th grade year. Since returning, I have seen a tremendous improvement not only in his study habits, but also in his grades, confidence, and overall attitude toward learning. The support, structure, and encouragement provided by his tutors have made such a positive impact on his academic growth and motivation. His tutor this year, Theta, has especially helped build his confidence in math and strengthen his understanding of the material. As a result, he has received Honor Roll every quarter so far and felt much more confident taking the PSATs this year. I'm so grateful that we found Quick Stars Tutoring. Our son has genuinely enjoyed his experience and recognizes how much it has helped him academically over the years. read more

My son has been going to Quick Stars for SSAT Prep. In his words, "They are very patient... they help you with things you don't understand... Everybody is nice." From a parent perspective, the sessions he receives are individualized and tailored to address areas that he needs to work on. Sometimes he has additional work to do before the next session, and I appreciate the extra practice he gets. Tracy has been super professional and helpful in scheduling us in and making it work for our busy schedule. read more

Quick Stars tutoring has been a great help! We struggled to find a qualified and reliable tutor for my son to help him with calculus and physics during senior year. His tutor (Kyle) has been excellent. He explains concepts clearly and is flexible about how they use their time - for homework or study prep depending on what my son needs most. Quick Stars has helped my son feel more confident and improve his performance in math read more

We've had a great experience with Quick Stars Tutoring over the past few months. My daughter, Ava, has been attending sessions for AP Pre-Calculus, and the improvement has been significant--not only in her grades but in her overall understanding of the material. We've tried a few other tutoring options in the past, but nothing compares to the quality of instruction and support we've found here. The tutors do an excellent job of breaking down complex concepts in a way that truly clicks. Ava has gained much more confidence in the subject, and it shows in both her performance and her attitude toward math. What really stands out is their professionalism. Scheduling has been smooth, communication is clear, and the environment is supportive and focused. It's clear they genuinely care about their students' success. We're very grateful for the support they've provided and would highly recommend Quick Stars Tutoring to anyone looking for quality academic help. read more

My daughter has been attending Quick Stars Tutoring for a few months now, and it has been VERY helpful! I spent months looking for a tutor to help her with math and finally came across Quick Stars! Her tutor, Cody, is great and explains challenging math concepts in a way she can comprehend and retain. The owner, Tracy, has been nothing but kind and accommodating, especially when my daughter was unexpectedly sick a few times. Her math grades have improved tremendously, and she has a great time learning at tutoring! 100% recommend and we will continue using them for any "tutoring" needs!! read more

My daughter first started going to Quick Stars Tutoring for SSAT prep 2 years ago. I'm happy to say that she did get into the school that she wanted, thanks to Tracy, Mike and Jenn. This year, my daughter was struggling in some of her classes. I texted the owner Tracy and explained my daughter's situation. Tracy is always very quick to respond to my texts. Each week, one of us would contact each other if there were any openings from cancellations. I wanted to start ASAP and was willing to go to both locations. Tracy was able to get my daughter to be seen in person by Cody in the Honolulu office, Kyle at the Waipio office and also Jenn through zoom sessions. Cody was willing to stay an extra 1/2 hour more to help my daughter and even walked my daughter down to my car after her session was done! Jenn was also very patient when there was a zoom connection issue on our part. Kyle was very easy to get along with and learn from. I am grateful to Tracy and all the tutors that have worked with my daughter. Her grades are going up and it's all thanks to Quick Stars Tutoring! read more

My son had struggled for many years with his math skills. I was so happy that he was able to get the support he needed through Quick Stars Tutoring. The owner, Tracy, was always great with communicating and being flexible when it came to my son's schedule. He also worked with tutors who helped to reinforce what he was learning in school as well as maintain basic math skills. All of this helped him feel more positive about math and ready to make the transition next school year. Although my son is not a client anymore, I will not hesitate to utilize Quick Stars in the future if the need arises. read more

Tracy is one of the best tutors that I have ever worked with. She is extremely qualified in her knowledge and education. She is able to help in so many different subjects from pre-k all the way to grade 12 or even higher. Tracy has been working with my 4 year old and 11 year old for 5 months now and has made homework for my older kid so much easier. I'm so happy with her services. Tracy is very accommodating, she ultimately does her best to work with you on when you want yo schedule your sessions. She drives all the way from Ewa side to work with us. That is so kind as she told me she couldn't find a tutor that she felt was qualified enough and available at 3. Her standards for all her tutors is very high. Not only is Tracy academically competent, she is extremely organized, resilient, honest and very passionate at what she does. Tracy has definitely earned her 5 stars, she is one of the hardest and dedicated professionals out there. read more

Excellent integrity and services. My son received math tutoring when he was in his early high school days and it helped tremendously! I am also in the profession of assisting others, so I often reflected on how they were very accommodating in providing services. Therefore, when he needed help with math for his ASVAB test, to get in the military, I called on them once again. He raised his scores and is now shipping off to the Navy next month. They treated me fair financially and I highly recommend using their service. People may not remember what you did for them but they definitely remember how you made them feel. Well Quick Stars, I remember what you did and how it felt . We got the outcome we wanted, and the feeling of being treated with positive regard in working with my son was invaluable. Thank you Tracy and team! read more

My son is a student at Punahou school. We were looking for a SAT prep program that would fit into our schedule. Instead of signing up for a group SAT prep class, I opted for Quickstars. They offered individualized tutoring sessions, and were able to tailor the sessions to my son's learning style. Kyle was his tutor, and my son felt that the time spent with him was very helpful. Kyle took the time to explain the steps and walk through understanding the process, instead of just correcting answers in a workbook. Highly recommended. read more

My son has been attending Quick Stars for a few months and have made tremendous progress. He's gained so much confidence which has helped him get accepted into a private school for Kindergarten. We absolutely love Ms. Charline, my son has been with other tutors, but she has this special talent and works so well with the younger keiki. She is remarkably patient and is such a blessing in our little guy's life. This investment has surely paid off read more

We are so happy with Quick Stars Tutoring. The one hour tutoring sessions fit into our busy family schedule. Quickstars tutoring was flexible and accommodating when were werenʻt able to make our scheduled session for the week. Our son enjoyed having Mike as his tutor. He was so nice and personable and helped to give our son confidence in himself and his learning capabilities. Our son was able to increase his language arts test score in a short amount of time. We were so surprised and excited when we recently found out that he got into Kamehameha Schools for 10th grade. Thank you Quick Starts Tutoring for helping our son reach his academic goals. read more

Quick Stars Tutoring is amazing! Tracy and her team are absolutely fantastic. We signed up both of our kids for tutoring about 2 years ago. We were looking for SSAT prep, and also wanted to focus on improving our kids' reading abilities. The tutors at Quick Stars are so skilled at what they do, and they've helped our kids improve so much. The tutoring is done in personalized, one-on-one sessions. The tutors really focus on each kid's needs, and our kids love coming here! Highly recommend. read more

Quick Stars Tutoring is very professional, high quality, and accommodating tutoring service! We were seeking help for my fifth grader to increase his SSAT scores since we felt they were not indicative of his capabilities. My son was taken in for a free assessment within days and tutoring followed within the week. During each lesson my son grew with concept knowledge, testing strategies, and confidence. He enjoyed spending time with the tutors and learning from them. If your child is preparing for the SSATs or if they need a little extra assistance, I highly suggest using Quick Stars Tutoring to give your child an academic advantage! read more

Quick Stars Tutoring has been a tremendous help! Prior to working with my son, he was on track to barely passing on one of his core subjects. Within a couple of tutoring sessions, he began to improve his trajectory towards the end of the quarter. They are well worth every Penny! They gave my son back his confidence and I find that priceless. We looked up getting a tutor for our 8yr old after coming back to school since quarantine. He was really struggling in math. He hadn't passed a single homework or quiz a month in. I contacted Quick Stars and heard back the same day. Two wks after starting our boy aced his first chapter test! The tutors provide lots of positive reinforcement and even a token system for the kiddos to purchase small toys from their store. My boy would go everyday if he could! read more

Here's an addendum. As mentioned in the last review, we were planning on starting SSAT prep for my daughter. Well....she had her prep from Oct-Dec with Quick Stars, took her test in Dec., scored 76 percentile overall and we just found out she is accepted to Punahou! Highly recommend tutoring! read more

I highly recommend Quick Stars Tutoring! Charline is very patient and helpful. She has helped my 4th grade son catch up with school by quickly identifying what he needs to work on. Quick Stars Tutoring, definitely a 5 star program. Prior to working with my son, he was on track to barely passing on one of his core subjects. He attended study help and block sessions with his instructor after school, however that still did not help him. After a couple of tutoring sessions, his math scores were above and beyond expectations. The tutors provide a clear understanding of the areas that my son struggled with. This program is worth investing in your child. read more

I highly recommend Quick Stars Tutoring. We had Charline as a tutor and she's very nice and helpful. The tutoring session ratio is one to one (one tutor to one child). My child enjoyed coming to "play games" and had fun doing the homework. Their facility is clean and welcoming, it can get a bit cold so I would suggest bringing a jacket. Tracy is the point of contact to enroll and schedule your sessions. She is super nice and very accommodating. I am thankful for all that Quick Stars did and is currently doing for my child. If you are looking for a tutor, give this place a try!!! read more

Quick Stars Tutoring has been a great experience for my sons education! Tracey (the owner) and her staff are professional and willing to work with scheduling and offer great cattered services to the need of my child (whose in 2nd grade). I really love the one on one experience of Quick Stars Tutoring where my son gets the full attention of his tutor. Megan (my sons tutor) has been such a blessing! She is very kind and encouraging. Everytime I pick my son up she meets with me and goes over everything that was taught for that session. My sons grades in reading and writing has improved Big Mahalo to Tracey and her staff! Keep up the great work that you folks are doing for our keiki. read more

My son has been a struggling reader ever since he was entered elementary school (he is currently a 6th grader). As parents, my wife and I spent many long and frustrating evenings working with our son to try and improve his skills. Not only did we not see the improvements we were looking for, we felt he began to overly depend on us to get his work completed. I decided to send our son to tutoring and after researching several organizations, we picked Quick Stars because they provide 1-1 tutoring. We chose the 10 session plan for 30 minutes each. By selecting this plan, you get the 11th session free. I am so glad we enrolled our son with Quick Stars! After about 6-7 sessions, I noticed improvements in my son's decoding & comprehension skills. More impressively, my son has gained a sense of working independently, no longer depending on his parents to get his work done. Several times, I told him we need to get his Quick Stars homework done and he responded with, "I'm done already. I did it last night". My immediate thought was that most of the work was not done correctly and that I'd have to help him redo it. When I checked his work, most of his answers were correctly done. I had to check with my wife to make sure she didn't help him and that he indeed did it himself. This never (I stress, never!) happened before Quick Stars. His tutor Charline is patient and understands how to teach struggling students. I have already reached out to Quick Stars to renew our 10 session plan and also requested Charline as my son's tutor. I wish we had enrolled our son years ago. read more

Quick Stars Tutoring was the perfect choice for SAT prep for my son, after 10 sessions he's already increased his score by 100 points. Tracy and her team are easy to work with and very communicative. If you're looking for a tutor this is the place! My children are homeschooled and we were looking for someone to guide us through curriculum. Her encouragement is genuine & she knows how to keep the kids motivated! My daughter had a head injury and we also needed to prepare her to take middle school entrance exams. She truly enjoys the instruction and teachers, Shaelynn and Jenn, most of all. Although the others are very good also. She struggled through web-based learning, and then to add the head injury that caused her to forget some complex math and vocabulary. Her self-esteem and confidence in class improved as she has already gained knowledge ahead of her classmates and also grasps difficult concepts more quickly. Today, after 10 sessions, she said she wanted to continue tutoring even after she is done with her testing. My daughter has been more of an athlete than a scholar, but with the instruction and teachers from Quick Stars Tutoring, she enjoys learning and academics just as much as playing. read more

This places is amazing! My daughter was struggling in Chemistry and I was able to get a tutor. Vi was so awesome, he was able to help her understand her homework and showed her what she needs to look at to solve problems. My daughter said he was a better at teaching then her teacher. After my daughter finished, we decided to continue with math over the summer. Even when there's no school they still offer tutoring. read more

Sent my son for two 11-week sessions and he really liked it. When our first session was about to end he said he wanted to continue (what 10 year old does that?)! He really enjoyed Mr. Kyle. Tracy (owner) is great too - very responsive and accommodating. They focus on whatever you tell them and give you a recap of what was gone over in each session. Communication is great! read more

This a long overdue post. My boys have been coming to Quick Stars since second semester of freshman year and now are Juniors in high school. They struggle with math due to the large class sizes and were barely passing. We decided to try tutoring and Quick Stars quickly helped the boys get a better understanding of math. They were no longer lost and had more confidence taking tests. They went from Low C's and almost failing to High B's and A's. We'll continue going to Quick Starts until they're done with high school and if they decide to go to college locally and require help we'll continue to get tutoring with Quick Stars. Bottom Line is that Quick Stars provides the one on one tutoring my boys needed to get a better understanding of math and if they need help with any other subject they have the tutors to provide just that. Thanks Quick Stars! read more

We really appreciate all the hard work and effort that Tracy and her crew did to prepare our son for high school. My son has struggled in both reading and math during distance learning. His teacher expressed concerns to my wife and I during our last Parent-Teacher conference. As educators, we were at wit's end trying to figure out how best to help our son regain academic confidence and success. We've only had our son in Quick Stars for a few months now, and the improvement in his attitude, confidence, and performance has been mind boggling. His teachers have commended us on his improvement in both math and reading, and no longer hold the same concerns they had just a short while ago. Trace and her staff are friendly, knowledgable and professional. They have been accommodating to our family's ever changing schedule, willing to work with our son both in person and via Zoom. We are extremely grateful for the support and guidance Quick Stars has provided for our son so far, and are excited to see how much he'll continue to grow academically. read more

I decided to send my kids to tutoring because they were not doing very well with distance learning during COVID. I looked into other tutoring centers but Quick Stars was referred to me by a friend so we decided try it out. I can see a big difference in my kids schooling and they seem more confident. My children actually told me they didn't want to stop tutoring because it really helps them and they love their tutors here at Quick Star. How can I take them out of learning, lol? Quick Stars is a wonderful tutoring center that has actual teachers helping with whatever your child needs. They help with what the school is working on and ask to bring their report cards or any work to help them.
