Do NOT let Mellon Certified Restoration of Harrisburg PA complete work at your home or manage your…read moreinsurance claim! We had water damage in December and we are still cleaning up the mess they made. The work is horrible, excuses and delays are many AND they try to charge for work that is not completed. I have scheduled an appointment with a manger (Bill) to show him the subpar and incomplete work at our home. He did not call and did not show up. We rescheduled, he showed up, agreed with the poor quality of work, took pictures and agreed that some of the work that was charged was not done at all. He assured us there would be a quick resolution. That was in January. We finally asked gave up, found another repair company and asked Mellon Certified Restoration for a final invoice. They again tried to charge us for subpar work (that will need to be redone) AND for work they never did. I have sent 4 emails to management (Bill and Chris Bond) and have received no response. Emails were sent March 1, 6 and 9 2022. This company is a fraud! The website does not even include a Harrisburg location and I am looking into that and trying to identify who owns Mellon Certified Restoration of Harrisburg.

I was trying my best to get plumbers in my area to come out and fix the pipe ( they all advertised to have 24/7 service but I didn't receive one call back out of the 9 I contacted ). I called my insurance company, USAA. They had Mellon Restoration team here within 3 hours to begin extracting the small flood in the basement and setting up equipment to dry out and extract the water. Jeff stayed till 11:30 PM to make sure he had removed the carpet padding, furniture and other wet items before he left. Of course we had no water and now it is the 4th of July! No problem, Jeff was back here by 9:00 AM, with a contact for a plumber that really does respond 24/7. HB McClure. I will get to their stellar service in another review. To Mellon Certified and specifically Jeff, thank you! Thank you! Thank you!!!!!!!

Their sump pump had malfunctioned and lots of water came through the party wall. It was a traumatic experience for me in many ways. Andy sent his crew over right away to start the water clean up (in the middle of the night) and personally came over several times AND checked in with me constantly. He bent over backwards for me and even called my insurance co several times trying to help fight my cause. Andy was constantly in contact with me and he definitely treats you like you are his only customer. I have to say Miro is also top notch. I highly recommend this company!! Very quick and knowledgeable. I also disclose that in no way am i related to this company, nor did I know them previously to this job.

The Szeles team showed up immediately, assessed the situation, and took action to solve the problem. When our insurance company denied the claim, they stepped in to help us get this fixed as soon as possible. I live on the West Coast (this is the house of a late relative), so it was important to have someone we could trust to get things taken care of in a professional and expedited manner. I met the folks from Szeles at the house and watched them work. They were friendly, thorough, and reliable. We were certain there was a hidden leak somewhere that caused this problem. Szeles helped us trouble shoot and finally found the leak, which made this an insurance claim again. Then they helped us work with the insurance company to get the best settlement--as the insurance company wanted to lowball what they offered us. I would highly recommend Szeles, particularly Andy and his team. I hope to never ever have to use a service like this again (believe me, this was no fun!), but if I did, I would contact them without hesitation.

They don't seem to realize or care that people will actually give them bad reviews for bad service. Which is exactly what they did. In May of 2017 I had a water leak in my kitchen from my dishwasher damaging my kitchen floor. Accord was assigned by my insurance company and I said fine.., no problem. Joe Lapano the contract manager seemed nice enough at first. On the day they tore up the kitchen flooring to replace it... imagine my surprise when I came home to find not only my kitchen floor gone but the foyer flooring gone as well!! When I called Joe he said ... " sorry for the mistake"..... very nonchalantly like almost nothing had happened! How does my kitchen floor translate to the flooring in my foyer? Pretty big "mistake." I happened to really like the hardwood flooring in my foyer and bathroom which all matched. When I pointed this out to Joe he then said all flooring would be replaced which it eventually was. Then there was damage to baseboards and paint which I had to have Joe come look at and have repaired. But to top it all off they scratched a dining room side table door panel moving furniture. I pointed this out and they took it to be fixed. Well five months went by with hardly a word from Joe unless I emailed him. Emails frequently went unanswered and he was never in when I called. Finally he answered back and stated he had received it back but wasn't happy with it so back it went to be fixed again. A few more months went by... more emails and calls. Finally Joe said he had the door back. When it was finally back it was noticeably lighter than the other door panels on the side table. I texted Joe a picture and he agreed this was the case. So for the first time in this ongoing year long saga I asked for his Boss's name. His boss Craig also took his time in responding. When I finally spoke with him on the phone he was extremely rude and defensive. I told him anyone else in my position would have contacted him ages ago and raised the roof over all that had gone on. He refused to give me a name of anyone he answered to stating he was the Vice President or CEO of the company.... I don't remember which. He made me tell him " my side of the story." What does that mean? My side? I'm the customer! Long story short.... he absolutely refused to reimburse me for the cost of the table. His solution was to take the door again to try and fix it which I absolutely declined. He did concede to my not paying the 500.00 deductible on my insurance.... which is something.... but doesn't cover the cost of my table which is a matching set to my dining room table. I have read other reviews on here in the same vein as my experience. My real issue with this company is the excuses, lack of communication and professionalism and lack of respect for the customers they are serving. If I could give this company a minus star review I certainly would. Stay away from Accord!
