First visit was great.Sales team very helpful with picking my daughters prom dress. Went back for…read morethe first fitting and dress was completely butchered. It was altered too small even though seamstress said she didn't touch any material. Basically told my daughter she had gained weight over the last two weeks and it was her issue. Had my daughter in absolute tears. Did absolutely nothing to help her and eventually scrambled to try to find another dress but she at that point was beyond wanting to shop there after how she was treated. The silver straps they added to the original weren't even hemmed properly leaving the ends frayed. I walked out paying for a dress that didn't even fit. The dress wasn't cheap either. Buyer beware.

I went to Best for Bride with my mother and sister when I was starting my wedding planning. I went…read moreto the Hamilton location as that is where the wedding would be held and where my parents live (I live in Toronto). We did not have an appointment and it happened to be Boxing Day when we visited. We were welcomed in and explained to how to start choosing dresses. We were given clips that we placed on dresses we liked. At this point I wasn't fixed on what look I was going for. We selected A LOT of dresses that Sarah (the sales consultant) brought over to the dressing rooms and helped me try on. I will be honest, I was very indecisive to begin with and actually wasn't looking to buy that day. Sarah could tell I wasn't loving anything yet, and I tried on a dress that I liked and described to her how I thought it should look. She told me she had the perfect dress, and it turns out she was right. The dress she brought over was almost perfect. I could tell my mom and sister weren't totally sold and I asked if there was a belt. She brought one over and we all lit up. That was my wedding dress. At this location (I have been to the Toronto one as well for bridesmaids dresses) they have a red carpet runway with cameras so that you can see how you look from the front and behind as you go down the aisle. This was a pretty cool feature that I found unique to the Hamilton location. For alterations I was told to come in November as my wedding was the beginning of January. I made the appointment and came in with my dress. I was a little wary as they told me to come back to try my dress on less than a week before my wedding (I was seriously scared). Well there was no need. I went in for my appointment and the dress fit perfectly. The belt was hand sewn on and I wasn't happy with the position, but the seamstress fixed it on the spot and I took it home. I also must say that the staff I worked with were very kind and were good at remembering people (I was told I was remembered because if my shoes). I also was never pressured to go outside of my price point. I wish there was a better payment tracking method as on the alteration payment sheet it wasn't clear if we had paid in full or just half to begin with (as we were given the option). Everyone at the wedding loved my dress. My family loved my dress. My husband loved my dress. And I loved my dress.

I came in with the intent to sell no matter how much I could get, I knew I could get $80-$100USD in the states. it was a pair of Jordan 1 Neutral Grey no box or extra laces lightly worn The dude I sold them to was super cool He did lowball me pretty hard tough at $40CAD I ended up taking $50CAD($36.50USD) BUT AGAIN I came in with the intent to get rid of the shoes. The other side of the wall had streetwear. There were a few stakeboards near the front but I wasn't sure if they were for sale. It turns out the target audience is mainly teenagers. Well this store is not for me. Out I go! But not before I get some info and photos for a review. I am a reviewer after all and I can't waste a store visit! The staff member was courteous and helpful. Prices are reasonable. There are so very many sneakers on display! There is even a game machine similar to those where you try to grab a plushie with a claw. In this version, you try to move a big key into a keyhole to receive a sneaker as a prize! This location opened on 2022-10-15. They have a second location in Vaughan. Review 2023-076

I went to My Top Drawer for quality products. I went for a…read morebra fitting and bought 2 new bras and the special expensive soap they recommended. I spent more than $500 cdn. I have washed it in the shower as directed by the store. Fast forward, 7 months. The night before an important event the bra, (that I was to wear with my gown), under wire snapped in two. The store is more than 1 hour away. I dropped everything drove out to the store. A $250 bra should last more than 7 months. I did not have time for ANOTHER fitting. It was just before closing on a Friday night. The sales lady was very personable. She could not do anything about the poor product but would speak to the manager in the morning. I left the broken bra there and bought another bra. ....... 2 weeks later....... I received a call from a sing song lady..... so fake and rude. After telling me (the customer) how wrong I was. She said there was nothing she could do as I had not taken care of the bra, and worn it too much!!! I had hoped she would make it right in some way. She commented on how faded it was. Yes, I notice the fade too! However, I was unhappy with that but it was the broken under wire. She further insisted I should have had ANOTHER bra fitting.... I have not changed in 7 months. Her tone was fake and diminutive. It was a very bad call, you know that fake polite voice. I ended the call, and remarked that I was not up for a battle of the bra. I hope the owner reads this review. This is a loss of a good customer and annual business. Hello on line shopping, good bye Top Drawer.

Nice selections of Guinness novelty items, Irish traditional more conservative clothing.. those nice sweaters, overcoat would certainly keep you warm and toasty.. but just don't look at the price tag. Make sure you go to the back and have some Irish cuisine, irish tea and desserts. It is a delight to see a little tea shop inside of the store where you can enjoy some Irish home cooking!

Note: This is a review for the Irish Design SHOP. For tea-room specific reviews, make sure to visit…read moretheir Yelp page: http://www.yelp.com/biz/irish-tea-room-niagara-on-the-lake. Niagara-on-the-Lake is a all about the shopping, history and lake time (it's named for a reason!); and as far as shopping goes, Irish Design should be one of your stops. Beautiful store chalk full of Irish (no surprise there!) products, many made from beautiful Merino wool: socks, hats, blankets and the most beautiful, thick sweaters you've ever seen. Also, a large assortment of scarves, jewelry and all your Irish needs. Whether you're looking for a present for yourself or someone else, if you're willing to open your pocket book VERY wide, this might be just the stop for you. Like most of the stores directly on Queen Street (the main drag in Niagara-on-the-Lake), Irish Design has its prices set high. Although, they DO have a "sale" section and remember, everything is listed in Canadian dollars. They accept credit, cash and US currency and have a lovely tea room, which I did not visit, in the back of the store (bathrooms only available for tea room patrons, no public store washroom!) Irish Design is also located near the [shopping] end of Queen Street, right before the residential strip, couple shops over from King George Theater. Great hours, opening at 9:30am during the weekday. Overall, a cozy shop and unique enough that it should be on your list of places to visit.
