We loved him so much that we would wait as long as possible to get our hair cut there when we came in to town. My issue is with the owner who charged me $95 for a "last minute cancellation" because I called the morning of appointment REALLY sick with the flu. I had previously booked my appointment several days earlier. However, Miguel cancelled it because he was sick. My son visited him the next day and then got very sick (maybe from Miguel, maybe from our flight, who knows), then I got sick, tested positive for covid and looked like this picture. I can't imagine I would have even been allowed to come in with a fever and serious flu symptoms; so being over-charged for a simple cut and dry is very frustrating. I really hate to write this review, because I look forward to going to Miguel every time, but we won't be going back, unless the funds are refunded. I called 3 times and was very clear about the situation, and apparently the owner, Karen, would prefer to lose 5 clients, for a great stylist, than refund a sick client.

After having a full consultation (I need to express EXACTLY how I want my hair, so there is no misunderstanding), I received a balayage on my black curly hair. I had to go back for a touch up, because of my jet black hair, but that was okay. She informed me from the beginning that it would need another session. It's the same process I had to go through with my previous stylist last year. I left feeling like Jennifer Lopez! The process took a while, but I'm used to it because of my dark hair. Now that I have the highlights, touch ups will be a breeze. I've gone to many stylists to try and blow dry this curly mop that I have and only 2 people out of many could actually get it straight. Aysia is one of them. I like my hair blow dried a specific way and she did exactly as I asked. I've found over the years, if you know what you want-be specific. I'm meticulous with my hair to say the least. The salon employees are extremely friendly, positive, and helpful. They are well equipped with hand sanitizer and masks, if you need one- felt very comfortable going there during this unconventional time. Overall, wonderful experience! I don't remember the name of the spray tan artist, but she was phenomenal. At least for me, it takes a lot to make me feel comfortable and confident naked in front of strangers, but she was great. I had never felt so at ease or confident in a beauty situation before. She made you feel safe and comfortable and explained every aspect of the appointment. The tan looked amazing right after and for the week that followed, but didn't last as long as ones I'd had in the past fading and peeling in spots, although this could be due to my prep and aftercare. Either way, I've already recommended this place to multiple people for the price, quality, and of course the quality of service.
