And, they have the best "PET" videos on the tv in case you have to wait, which in my case I never had to wait long.

    Subject: Very Disappointing MRI Experience I had a very…read moredisappointing appointment today at RAVE. To start with the positives, the front desk staff were great--professional, friendly, and helpful. The nurse who assisted with my IV was also excellent and made that part of the process as comfortable as possible. Unfortunately, my experience during the MRI itself was unacceptable. The nurse operating the MRI lacked both professionalism and basic patient empathy. Anyone dealing with pain understands that the process of getting to an MRI appointment is already difficult and physically taxing. To then be criticized for not being a "perfect" MRI patient only adds to that stress and discomfort. I was asked if I had ever had an MRI before, and I answered yes--that was the entire discussion before being placed in the machine. What is most frustrating is that I clearly explained during the pre-appointment call and again upon arrival that I have had both lower back and neck surgery. Despite this, no follow-up questions were asked, and no effort was made to address positioning or comfort before the exam began. Once the test started, I experienced significant pain and attempted to make a small adjustment. The nurse immediately snapped at me, stating, "You can't move. Now I have to restart the whole exam," in a rude and dismissive tone. At that point, I asked to be taken out of the machine. Once I was out, she continued in a confrontational manner, saying, "You told us you've had an MRI--you know you can't move." My response was that my prior MRI was decades ago, and it was before I had two back surgeries. That context clearly matters. What's most concerning is that at no point were solutions offered--such as adjusting positioning, providing additional support (like a pillow under my knees or back), or even taking the time to better explain the process given my condition. There was a complete lack of communication and understanding. Ultimately, this was a waste of time and money, and an experience that could have been easily improved with basic professionalism and patient care. I hope this feedback is taken seriously so other patients don't have a similar experience.
