Amazing Church! Doug does a great job communicating Gods word and letting the Holy Spirit preach.(…read morenot referring to Tongues BTW) straight up non denominational and solid beliefs. The staff is great and friendly. Welcome team does a great job getting you where you need to go. The kids ministry is awesome with an iPad check in system with stickers for added security for your kids. They are building a new building and are being very up front about costs and seem to be making sure all money is being spent in a way of honoring God. This church makes you feel at home and like family from the start.

It's one of the…read morehealthiest churches I've seen as far as atmosphere and deep solid teaching that lines up with the Word of God. There seems to be a genuine care for people here. There are many small groups to be involved in. This is not a one-man show type of church that is common these days. I had the opportunity to attend in my twenties as well as my forties. They love God and love others which is how Jesus summarized the two greatest commandments.

We had also just moved to Rowlett, and didn't know people in the area. So we decided to "Yelp" it, and would you believe it, we found Catalyst. I will say the first time there I felt something completely different then I had ever felt. This place was meant for me. We then returned the next week, to my surprise, the members remembered our names. My 7-year-old was so surprised by that, we just knew that we had found something special. I promise, if you are lost, been away from the church, or even had really bad feelings about church, this IS the place for you. Come try and see what you think. I have now found a home.

Personally, I don't think that the pastor or anyone in the church is trying to be "too cool" or "rockin'" - the reason I go is because I think it's the first church experience that's actually been genuine. I don't attend because I'm trying to be all hipster with God; I go because I'm okay listening and talking and not being judged. I attend Catalyst, and have for over a year... and I'm not yet comfortable calling myself a Christian... AND THAT'S OKAY AT CATALYST. How many churches can you go to where they aren't going to judge you or try and change you? I have never stuck with any church in the few instances where I've tried it because of all the pressure to be someone I'm not. I walk in the door, and it's okay to be me. It's okay to learn at my own pace, and I'm still welcomed and loved. Isn't that really what it's all about?

But it also has a beautiful blend of all generations as well. They offer children's and youth miniseries as well as small groups that are based in the communities around Fate.
