The rooms are tiny (you need to breathe in to get between the bed and the window) - and even though the architects have done their best with quirky art features, it still feels small and plastic and cheap. You'll be sharing the space with the chickens and Elsie the chocolate Labrador. The bedroom is small but comfortable with an adjoining bathroom and laundry. The kitchen is well-equipped and perfect for putting together breakfast and a simple meal. Note that it is an outdoor kitchen so if you are visiting during the colder months, it does get very chilly at night and during the warmer months you may need a mosquito coil. The property is located on High Street, a 10 to15-minute walk to the centre of town. High Street is an extension of the Northern Highway so there is some traffic noise at night. Kate is a super friendly, thoughtful hostess and she was very generous with the breakfast provisions. This is country hospitality at its best!

The cream on the crumble had a weird taste to it, may have been creme fresh, not sure. All in all for the price we had to pay the meal was very disappointing.

The service was okay, but the pub was actually quite nice, even though it tended to be more modern than the ones that I tend to prefer.
