In fact, I had moved already before baby 2 was born, but still stayed with them because I was happy. And I'll just add that I am generally annoyed with doctors, mostly because I have a complex about thinking that I'm just as smart and knowledgeable as they are, and they generally don't take well to my feedback about my own or my children's health. So, I'm quite an annoying patient. Anyhow, first baby was born via Megan Flannery, second baby via Lianna Lucaric. They both were easy to talk to, never felt like I was in a hurry, and very much present during the birth. I liked Flannery a little better, just warmer as a person, but both did such a great job cutting me open and fixing me up again. On my second birth I was very specific and did not want any narcotic/morphine in my epidural and Lucaric really worked to get this right with the staff at Edward Hospital (in the midwest suburbs it seems that anesthesiologists think you're insane if you don't want to drug the hell out of yourself). First birth required C section and Megan really waited for the very last moment to say it's time to just give up on the vaginal birth. That made me feel more in control. Both surgery's were done really nicely and my scars are very minimal. In fact, I think Lucaric did a nice little bit of plastic surgery on my stomach to get rid of some excess scaring and fat when she fixed me up after #2. The staff at the practice are great, I never had to wait too long for my appointments, timely, friendly, especially Betsy the receptionist, and I felt well taken care of.

I read about many women who had to fall back on charting and hope because their doctors didn't want to do ultrasounds or blood tests. I'd highly recommend FCI.

Don't waste a year here like I did. Nurses scold you with blatantly false information, and if you question them, they will kick you out on the basis of "zero tolerance." But really, they kick patients out that are not helping to keep their numbers up. Gaslighting is the game here, and management is sick. I've seen patients crying because nurses told them the wrong day to come for their appointments and now they are delayed a month and have already rearranged their entire schedule. They do not staff phlebotomists who can draw a hard stick, one gave me a hematoma, and their back-up is nurses (who have even less experience)! I've gotten wrong prescriptions, wrong lab orders, etc. You will be so frustrated with the lack of communication. I couldn't even have a consult with my doctor before they dropped me. Unless you want to spend your days refreshing your patient portal, look elsewhere.

Our baby son was actually the first patient when the practice opened more than 21 years ago, and…read morewe've relied on Dr. Brooks ever since. Over the years, Dr. Brooks and the entire practice have cared for all four of our children, as well as my wife and me. Having this practice in our hometown has been an incredible asset for our family and for the entire community. The care feels personal and attentive--almost like a concierge practice--yet it still has the warmth and accessibility of a true small-town family doctor. On more than one occasion, our family has received care that we truly believe was life-saving, and we are incredibly grateful. We've also heard many similar stories from others in the community whose families have been helped in the same way. Dr. Brooks and the entire team clearly see their work as more than just a profession. They treat patients with genuine compassion, dedication, and a sense of purpose. Our family feels very fortunate to have them in our lives and in our community.

I saw Dr. Brooks for almost the entirety of my life up until I was in my early 20s. In 2016, I went…read moreto him with a sinus infection. I am allergic to several medications, and have numerous adverse reactions. Yet, he decided to prescribe me a new drug, Levaquin. Even though, he knew that the only medication I did not have a reaction to was a Zpack. Levaquin is now known for horrific adverse reactions, and is involved in several class actions. I had a horrific, terrifying reaction to Levaquin. I was transported to the ER. I stopped seeing Brooks regularly and began seeing other doctors. Years later (2021) I went to obtain my records to show a new primary my adverse reaction to this medication. To my surprise, there was no documentation of the adverse reaction, or that I was prescribed this medication at all. I went to see Brooks after the ER visit, that was not in there either. I specifically requested these documents for this adverse reaction. There was another incident in 2018, too. In my desperation for help, I reached out to Brooks (after not seeing him for a very long time). I was getting ready to take the bar (I am a lawyer) and I started having horrific panic attacks. I couldn't step outside my apartment without having a panic attack. I went to Brooks in tears asking if he could help me, and I even asked for a prescription for Xanax to help with the panic attacks. Instead he said he would prescribe me Prozac. He prescribed me either 60mg or 90mg of Prozac (I can't remember which one). When I went to the pharmacy to fill the prescription, the pharmacist asked me how long I was on the medication. I told her this was my first time filling - she told me that my doctor shouldn't have prescribed me this, that he should have started me off at 5mg. She said she'd still fill it. I was desperate and I stupidly trusted the prescription. At that point in time, it was a miracle I was even able to get to a pharmacy without a panic attack. I took the medicine and went off of it within three weeks. It was excruciating. While I think everyone's medical treatment is private, I hope this helps someone and I'm sorry I didn't post sooner. After spending time with my family during the holidays and realizing several were still seeing this doctor/going here, but never heard what I went through, I thought it best to share so people could make informed decisions.

I am leaving this review in hopes that other young women are better informed and protected than I…read morewas. At 18 years old, I had an IUD placed at this clinic. I was supposed to receive a Kyleena, but was instead given a Mirena, which is typically recommended for women who have previously given birth. The insertion and post-procedure period were extremely painful, resulting in several days of debilitating pain and months of chronic discomfort afterward. Following placement, I developed a bacterial infection and was told it was likely due to my partner cheating, rather than being informed of the known risks associated with IUDs. Over the next several years, I experienced recurrent yeast infections and ongoing symptoms. When I contacted the office for help, I was repeatedly told I could not be seen for 7-10 days and that I should not treat the symptoms myself, an unrealistic expectation given the severity and frequency of the infections. I eventually expressed my desire to have the IUD removed after researching and strongly suspecting it was the root cause of my symptoms. I was told this was "not a good enough reason" to discontinue birth control or remove the device, and I felt dismissed and pressured to keep it despite ongoing harm. I kept the IUD for another year before finally having it removed against medical advice. Since removal, I have been symptom-free for the first time since the device was placed. This clinic failed to listen to me, failed to provide informed, patient-centered care, and failed to respect my autonomy. I strongly urge patients, especially young women, to advocate for themselves and seek second opinions if something feels wrong.

I was already struggling with my mental health, and I found my interactions with him rude, dismissive and, in my experience, abusive. Instead of feeling supported, I came away feeling significantly worse. I was also extremely concerned about billing. I received bills for services I did not believe I had received, including charges relating to a prescription refill that I had not requested. I was contacted saying that my prescription had been refilled and was subsequently charged for it. I found this extremely frustrating and upsetting, particularly when I was already in a vulnerable state. Based on my experience, I would strongly recommend keeping a close eye on your bills, prescriptions and any charges associated with your care. Make sure you question anything you don't recognise or didn't authorise. This was a very negative experience for me, and I would not use his services again.

What a hassle! However, the TRE reception staff were amazingly helpful. Mary Ann Stephens was especially helpful. After several phone call attempts that ended in failure, Mary Ann offered to walk down to the other office and speak with them personally. Wow! That kind of customer service doesn't happen much any more. My appointment was "old school". We chatted and got acquainted before I undressed for the comprehensive physical. I had a list of questions that I had been saving for my annual appointment. Dr. Kim answered the ones that applied to her expertise and at no point did I feel rushed. Dr. Kim was knowledgeable and patient, pointing out a couple of lifestyle changes I should make, along with discussing her specialty area.
