From email to cell phones to smart remote controls for televisions, those who didn't grow up with these electronics find themselves constantly struggling to understand the basics. Not only does this organization bridge a technology gap, but the act of bringing young people into the lives of this often-neglected population bridges a generational gap, as well. At this particular moment in time, this assistance is critical, it's easy to list the many reasons why seniors MUST be tech savvy: + Online prescription orders + Groceries and food delivery + Staying in contact with loved ones, particularly if visitation isn't an option + Email and other information channels I just read that for a limited time, the organization will offer free one-on-one video conference classes, and even at normal cost ($39, low-income is $25 per hour) this life training is very fairly priced. Just one of many resources we've discovered can work -- not as well as in-person, but still workable -- during this era of distancing. Thanks, guys.

Class schedules are often released late, and there have been multiple instances where teachers forget they have a class leaving students to track them down. There's a serious lack of consistency in policies, especially regarding testing. Some students are allowed to make up quizzes, while others aren't, with no clear explanation. What's most frustrating is that I'm paying $62,000 for an education that falls far short of expectations. Many of the instructors are unprepared or know nothing about the material. It feels like the school is more focused on enrollment numbers and NCLEX pass rates than on actually educating its students. That seems to be their main concern is staying in business. If you're considering this school, I strongly recommend looking elsewhere. You won't get the education you're paying for or deserve.

Her goal is to retire after 20 years, well they're obliging her regardless of her incompetence... Sweet and funny lady but they are doing an injustice to the students and have been because of her time there. It's sad that she's going to be know this way instead of as a great instructor that she was. It's ruining her reputation and the school is guilty of allowing her to continue. Watching her decline is heartbreaking...

This place was pretty mellow on a Wednesday night. My group came here for the karaoke night, so I…read morewas glad that it wasn't as busy as I had thought it could be. We entered the building from the parking lot side (which there was plenty of parking, not sure how that would be on a busier night). We had already planned on signing up for the membership - the process took maybe 5 minutes to register each person and was fairly easy. The entrance has the registration desk and a hangout area, maybe unused bar area, and I could also see into another room where other events are sometimes held. We walked past the bathrooms where another bar area was located, and the main big room. The ceiling was covered with many pride flags, almost as to cover some of the vents that were emitting a strong current of air throughout the venue. There were plenty of tables with chairs for ample seating. Karaoke was already in full swing, and there were only a few other people participating. I can't remember which program they use, but it's a fairly easy app/website where you create a singer account, look up the song list, and add yourself to the singers queue. If they don't have the song that you want in the song list, you're also able to request for the DJ to eventually add the song if they are able to. The only thing I didn't like about the karaoke set-up were the locations of the tv screens where you'd be reading the lyrics. There are 2 giant tvs on either side of the main room, and maybe because I'm only 5'2", but to me - they seemed like I was looking up quite a bit. There are also smaller tvs behind the main bar. Overall, the SOCH seems to be a fun place to hangout when there are things going on, which they have a LOT of events available for all sorts of people and interests. I'd definitely go back there sometime.

They explained to me that they are having a problem with a leak in the plumbing from next-door. The floor wasn't wet. Obviously someone had spelled A sticky drink on the floor, and my flip-flop stuck to it as I walked in the door. Someone had taken time out of their busy day to put a wet floor sign in the restroom. Both gentlemen were standing at the front of the establishment doing absolutely nothing and someone could've run a mop over the floor, but nobody bothered. Just so gross.
