The instructors are great. Easy to follow instructions with variety for different abilities and all very professional, but also fun. Not being instructed by robots! It's a really friendly atmosphere which is the reason I keep going back. And I have tried gyms before and just give up as don't enjoy it. The only reason for 1 star being off is because the pool can be seen from reception and the cafe area which for me is off putting. I'm sure a lot of people won't bother about this, but I'd prefer it to be more private.

Linlithgow pool is by far the most child friendly pool I have found in West Lothian…read more It has a lovely splash pool with a little slide that is perfect for toddlers as well as very family friendly changing areas which is a large unisex area with family sized changing cubicles and several baby changing areas as well as seats to strap your baby in while you get changed - I have never seen these anywhere else and they are invaluable. Pool is always clean and usually full of families. Great pool, I wish more were like it.

Saughton Sports Complex is a smaller sports centre but with most things you need in a sports…read morecentre. They have outdoor pitches with astroturf for 5-a-side football and an athletics track with various other sports packages. In the past I have only used the 2 things named above but my time there was enjoyable. The complex is cheap, and the pitches are a lot cheaper to hire out than those of larger chains. The athletics track is large with grass verges at the side where ou can sit and watch, it's lovely on a summers day. Many a school uses the complex for their sports days or for their baseball classes. The changing rooms are spaceous and clean with plenty lockers. There is not a great deal of staff on the complex but normally a janitor who can assist who sits near the entrance.
