The admission fees are: £3.50 Adult admission £2.50 Child admission (over 3 years old) Children under 3 get free admission There are a number of animals all over the grounds from llamas to meerkats to birds of prey. Paths are a bit difficult for pushchairs/wheelchairs as a lot of them are in fields or gravel around the small lake. There is a brand new play area next to the ice cream/coffee shop which is perfect for parents to relax whilst watching the children have fun. However if the weather is bad there is an indoor play area with two sections. The first section is a limited babies/toddlers area with rather used and worn down toys. The second is for young children - a soft play area and mini ball pool. The soft play area is very claustrophobic and if you have a reluctant/stroppy kid it is extremely difficult to get a full grown adult in and back out with them in one move! The staff range from friendly to pretty much inaudible but nevertheless get the jobs in hand done and serve you promptly. The coffee shop is fairly limited but in the summer is perfect for a cool drink or simply an ice lolly. There is a lake and crazy golf offered as alternative farm free activities. The lake is fairly pictoresque and can have approved fishing fun as far as I'm aware you have to bring your own gear. The crazy golf is usually very busy and they have limited number of clubs - get there quick and be prepared to hang around in the hope someone comes back soon returning their clubs. Its an ok day out - its constantly improving with greater publicity and funding.

Iv located this again in the wrong place best to go on the website for more accurate dirrections…read moreetc! The Dorothy Clive gardens are known for its intimate and informal layout.landscape features, including a prettie woodland garden, an alpine scree, gravel garden and many exploding mixed borders, not to mention vast and specialist variety of rhododendrons and azaleas in spring time in what is called the quarry garden. Adults £5.00. Over 65's £4.00. Children up to 11 years free, children aged 11 - 16 £1.00. Pre booked groups of 20 or more £4.00 per person. there is a nice Tearoom that serves hot and cold food until 3.00 p.m, and home-baked cakes and pastries throughout the day. open 10.00a.m - 5.00p.m. The tearooms are friendly, akes are nice!!! The intial part of the garden - the alpine scree is not really suitable for those in wheel chairs, (as is the whole gardens) but i have seen people with awesome carers who have helped people up a fair few steps to see the rhododendrons although the layout is not designed for wheel chairs the facilities are all in place, i think you can borrow wheel chairs etc Its also worth knowing that the is an acess road near the tearooms for disabled acess to the upper level gardens- the quarry Well worth a visit as the informality of the gardens shows that your little patch could turn into a relaxing and enjoyable place to be all year round put your sprog on a lead!

Hi Mike. You have proved that it is definitely possible to teach an old dog new tricks! Your advice…read morehas transformed our relationship with Angel, our 11-year-old rescued Bichon. We've had her for about a year but her possessiveness over food and resources was getting much worse and we were really worried that things were not going to work out with our current family situation. After one home visit from you, we have put in place all of the advice and training measures you suggested and everything is going really well. The daily growling incidents have reduced considerably now we know how to avoid and distract. Mealtimes in particular have improved - we are putting only small amounts of food in her bowl, then putting it down after she waits and then repeating the process until she has had the whole portion. One of the key things you helped us realise, is that just because she is 11, not to let her get away with things. For example, she used to have a set route she preferred for walks, with lots of little foibles about where to cross the road and stop at certain points. We used to indulge her routines and because she is an old dog, let her do what she wanted. But now, if we want to go left and she doesn't, I stand still until she stops pulling. Then I start to move towards the way I want. If she pulls again I stop, and I do not look at her. Eventually she starts to come towards me and once we are trotting off in the new direction she is fine. Thanks again for your advice. It has made Angel a much happier little lady.
