History

Established in 1945.

Lake Norfork was created by a huge concrete wall called the Norfork Dam. The construction began in 1941 and ended on June 4, 1944. A boat dock was established on the new reservoir at the site of the quarry close to the dam. It was originally named Bonner Boat Dock and was changed later to its current name, Quarry Marina.

Meet the Business Owner: Richard and Cheri H.

Richard and Cheri Hanson purchased Quarry Marina in June 1997. We moved to Mountain Home with our family from Memphis, Tennessee. Richard's family, including aunts and uncles and cousins, camped at Lake Norfork even before he was born. It was a dream come true for the Hansons to move to the Ozarks and to have your workplace be Lake Norfork!
