My two children (ages 8 and 1) see Dr. Emily and she is AMAZING with them. She is so very patient and understanding with my 8 year old and honestly, he loves coming to see her! I was worried how the baby would be during the appointments, but they made it seem effortless! They have a wonderful little "kid cave" for the children to play in which seems to keep them well occupied during the wait, which is never too long. Although it IS difficult to get an appointment ANYWHERE in Bartlesville, it's definitely worth the wait at this place, and they always give us the option to book for the following year. At my husbands last appointment, there was a bit of a delay being seen, but they explained there had been an emergency walk in that needed to be seen. Emergencies happen and i'm so glad i have an eye doctor that will fit us in if we have an emergency! The girl with the red hair that sits at front desk is always smiling when we come in. She explained all the paperwork to us about the extra testing. The doctor's assistance that work us up seem to really know what they're doing and always answer any questions we have. Of course , we love the doctors, and the ladies that do the glasses are always so patient with us when we pick out glasses (3 out of 4 of us so far and I'm quite picky). And we've never needed to wait more than a couple weeks to get them back. When they called us to let us know our glasses were ready, they advised coming in before school let out, as that was their busiest time. We were in and out within 5-10 minutes. #WeLOVEourEyeDoc

That is completely unacceptable and incredibly misleading. This should have been clearly communicated upfront instead of wasting my time and money. It honestly feels like they only care about getting you in the door and getting their money, not actually providing the service you came for. Extremely unprofessional and a complete waste of time. I Will not be returning, and I will be warning others to avoid this office. Based on my experience, patient care is clearly not a priority. I was told someone would get back to me promptly, yet no one has followed up and it's clear they have no intention of doing so. I have the documented paper prescription I was given as proof the provider told me to go elsewhere. This experience only reinforces what many others in the Bartlesville community have already said: providers here do not prioritize patients. I strongly recommend going to Owasso instead. I don't suffer from eye fatigue or dry eyes unless it's a really bad allergy season. My original review was fairly critical and compared them to Bussey's Shamir lenses with AR coating. While I think they are better when it comes to filtering out blue light, I believe it's fairly close now. The clinic itself has very nice staff. Even before my misunderstanding, they offered to help each time I needed an adjustment or the frames to be tightened. I hope they are doing well in these unfortunate times, also.

RUN away from her services and staff…read more She does not care for her patients and it is natural that her staff reflects the same. She charged me twice with a routine eye exam and contact lenses exam. Being fully aware that eyes are hurting due to dryness (because she prescribed me the Optix contact lenses for trial) even though upon my first visit, I showed her the brand of contact lenses that I already wear and have been working great for me for a year, she does not order the contact lenses because of payment. She did not even ask me about canceling my trial lenses, went ahead and canceled them (while my eyes are hurting), bribed that if I do not pay both exams I cannot have my trials lenses (my insurance paid fully for the contact lenses exam and I paid for the routine eye exam, and STILL a month later, she has not ordered my trial lenses. I am significantly affected by this lack of professionalism and care. This is the WORST place to go for an eye exam. If you can wait for an appointment with another optometrist, do so. It will be worth your time, money and energy to go a real professional optometrist and not here.

The JCP is just a big room and not a traditional anchor store. It feels like a DSW. Washington Park Mall is known around the world (or at least in the areas around northeast Oklahoma) as home to the Gap Outlet - which is pretty spiffy for such a small mall. The remainder of the mall's stores that I visited (American Eagle, Famous Footwear, etc.) look and feel like pretty much any other mall. (For whatever reason, many DID have really good sales the day I was there.) It has a tiny food court but has actual restaurants (Billy Sims' Barbecue, Buffalo Wild Wings) and a movie theater. If in Bartlesville, it's worth hitting up, but probably not worth the drive from out of town.
