Came in for two issues: 1) My car was making a knocking…read moresound whenever I turned the steering wheel 2) Needed new tires I had received quotes from a couple other businesses in the area and brought them with me on my visit. I always come prepared so I don't get taken advantage of. For issue #1 (knocking sound), they were able to fix the issue cheaper here than at other shops, mainly because they just replaced the strut housing instead of the entire strut. I was happy to save some money on this issue. For issue #2 (tires), I brought with me a quote from Pep Boys up in Tucson that included four new tires with a 65000 tread life warranty. Jesus said he could match that installed price for tires that also included 65000 mile tread warranty. However, now, a month after the service, I decided to research the tires they put on my vehicle just to make sure everything was kosher (I know, I should've done this immediately, lesson learned). Unfortunately the tires they put on are Goodyear Assurance Finesse which have NO tread life warranty. I wish I had the service done at Pep Boys for the better tires at the same price. So I'm going to have to knock off a couple stars for that. It also took them almost two weeks to fix the above issues. Jesus said it was because they didn't realize the strut housing was more pieces than they originally thought, and they had to order the extra parts in (they did not charge me extra for them). I'm just glad I had a backup vehicle I could use because it would've sucked to not have a car for two weeks. I'm not going to take any extra stars off for this since, in fairness, I told them they could have the car as long as they needed since I had a backup vehicle. I just didn't think it would take two weeks. One other thing to be aware of is that they charge an extra 3% if you want to use your credit/debit card. Overall, I feel a little disappointed about the tire issue, but the knocking sound hasn't returned a month after I had the service done, so they did that part well.

This owner has saved me lots of money. First off by being honest and second by doing an above and…read morebeyond job. They got me hooked as a customer after letting me know I almost spent 4 times as much on something that wouldn't even fix the real problem I was having. Needing to spend money to fix your car isn't fun however at least I know I'm getting a good mechanic and not being overcharged. I've since had my mother start bringing her car there after I saw what dealerships were trying to pull. Now when something breaks I now I've got someone who will help me get back on the road.

Call next day; we fixed handle and did you know trunk button broke? Want it replaced too? No Pick up car- clerk says button already broken. End of conversation. Business thinks it's ok to treat 2 older people that way over a stupid button. Was the job not big enough?? We were testing your ethics as a business.

As a woman I'm often blown off on my thoughts about what I think might be wrong. Tice & Greg always listen to thoughts & reliably tell me what to fix immediately & what can wait. They've been a huge help to my aging parents. They spent most of the day figuring out my friend had an interior belt separation in a tire during an alignment that wasn't working. If she handn't got new tires ahe would likely have had a deadly blowout. She also had a weird brake light issue that turned out to be some relay behind the cabin air filter. While remodeling my garage I had to take my truck in with what I thought was a simple parking brake adjustment. Monty's figured out my rear axle shafts were worn, but there was a recall that put all axle shaft seals for my truck on back order. They let me order my own chromoly axle shafts & they found new seals at Ace. Then they saved me money on brakes. I had a horn that would blare randomly in the wee hours of the morning. They put the horn relay in the freezer to find the horn relay collapsing & then replaced the horn relay. My dad decided to 2x2 in his Camry on Middlemarch Rd & put two large gashes in the oil pan. After I 4x4'd in my truck with brand new chromoly axle shafts out to dad, we had the car towed to Monty's late at night & left a note not to start the car. Tice called me first thing in the morning about the Camry. The car was back on the road the same morning. When my brother & I couldn't locate a manual for the Camry when new, Tice looked up a front end procedure for us & gave me all the torques & specs to finish the job. I recently talked to Tice about options for finally rebuilding the front end of my truck that has over 307,000 miles. I was finishing work to sell my home & found a CV boot torn, a definite show stopper. I called Tice & was told to bring the truck in immediately. Based on our previous conversations I got a completely rebuilt front end & rear shocks in two days. The truck drives like new. Beyond all this Monty's has completed all my all-wheel alignments, worn out transmission mounts, drive pulleys, alternators, AC, electrical matters, 4x4 issues, you name it. All this while working to be safe while saving money & be downright cool on a wide variety of vehicles. Heck, they even worked on a "locomotive". HIGHLY RECOMMEND

So I made an appointment to drop off my car and have it looked at, with the expectation they would do so, and give me a run down on what needs fixed, and how much they would charge for fixes. I have had this done MANY times at shops over the years, and it's ALWAYS been free. I was charged $100 I wasn't expecting for a test drive, tire rotation and a part change. What ticks me off MOST about that is they also charged me for the part, when I HAD the part in my front passenger seat, very obviously so if they were to change it. No. They chose to overlook it completely. They did everything BEFORE calling me, and I was not informed of any charges until I went in to pick up my car. I will definitely be looking for future service elsewhere.
