I asked a local friend who was a good trustworthy mechanic around here after moving here from another state. They suggested here. So I made an appointment to drop off my car and have it looked at, with the expectation they would do so, and give me a run down on what needs fixed, and how much they would charge for fixes. I have had this done MANY times at shops over the years, and it's ALWAYS been free. I was charged $100 I wasn't expecting for a test drive, tire rotation and a part change. What ticks me off MOST about that is they also charged me for the part, when I HAD the part in my front passenger seat, very obviously so if they were to change it. No. They chose to overlook it completely. They did everything BEFORE calling me, and I was not informed of any charges until I went in to pick up my car. I took my car to have it checked out. A friend told me that they were honest and had fair prices. First they charged $90.00 for a diagnostic. Then they quoted a very high price for parts and labor. I went to another shop who charged me less then half what Auto Logic. Plus the other shop gave me a 2 year warranty I asked this shop owner if he charged for doing a diagnostic . My husband and I moved to Sierra Vista from Alaska a year ago, bringing with us a useful but high-maintenance Audi. Needless to say, finding a good mechanic was one of our top priorities. One of my husband's coworkers recommended Dan at Auto Logic, saying he'd always had great experiences with him. Conveniently, he was also located a few blocks from the house we'd moved into, so we decided to give him a go. Over the past year, we've traded in the Audi for a used BMW 3-series, and acquired a Honda del Sol with all the usual problems associated with being a 17-year-old car. Through it all, we've gone back to Auto Logic multiple times - not only are Dan's prices far cheaper than the dealership, but you get that additional quality of experience from dealing with a mechanic you like and trust. My husband and I are now in the middle of moving to Bisbee, and the brake pads on the BMW finally hit the point where we couldn't put off replacing them any longer. Dan did all four for *a quarter* of the amount the dealership had quoted me, and when I went to pick up the car, I discovered something missing...specifically, the coating of dust and dirt it had picked up over the past year. Dan and his guys had washed the entire car inside and out, including the wheels and tires (and all those little interior nooks like the gear shift where gunk gets in) - his explanation was "I figured it'd be one less thing for you to worry about while you were moving." Came here for an oil change after a guy in a classic BMW at the gas station recommended them for service once my car was out of warranty. They called to tell me my vehicle was ready ahead of schedule. When I discovered the car's computer still hadn't registered the service as completed (newer BMWs are a pain), Dan spent the time to figure it out and make sure my car wouldn't continue to harass me about services supposedly not done. This review deals with Interstate Battery warranty issues. I'm a mechanic by trade & am currently refurbishing 20 & 11 year old vehicles. Despite my abilities, I defer to professional shops when they have uparmored skills or special equipment to do a job quickly & efficiently. During an inspection Monty's Motors determined my year-old battery was bad in my vehicle. I went to Auto Logic to replace the battery based on Interstate's online warranty locations & short distance from my house. I called ahead & a woman said I could come right on down. I found Dan very condescending about the matter. He didn't say a word when I entered, then started off about wanting a receipt, and that we may not be able to find a date on the battery. I know that batteries have numbers on them & warranties can be retrieved, so I finally said, "can you just take a look at the battery & see what you can do?" Dan immediately found the date, Feb 2016, so only 16 months old. Then he started talking to me like I was stupid, repeatedly questioned Monty's methodologies, questioning exactly what tests I asked for, complained a storm was coming in & it was sprinkling, said he needed my vehicle for a minimum of two hours, that Interstate batteries "don't go bad," finally put a tester on it, said the battery was "fully charged" & said a bunch of mumbo jumbo about Interstate's return policies...then a screw dropped out of his tester & he told me it must have come from my vehicle. (I imagine the battery would return fully charged if it has already been at a repair shop.) As a mechanic who has a brother that was a parts manager I knew he wasn't interested in helping with the warranty he claims to have by carrying Interstate batteries. (PS ALL brands of batteries can "go bad".) I just needed to leave this guy alone since he seemed so agitated that I dared come ask for warranty help. I left unclear whether he would even charge to run this "two hour" test he needed to do. And while there, a woman was smoking a cigarette in the bay...who wants their car to smell like a cigarette during repair? I called Jack Furriers & they asked I bring my SUV in immediately since they only needed to quickly test it & use a number on the battery to determine warranty. A few minutes into my visit the battery had been tested, informed it was bad & replaced under warranty, with no charge. I was out the door in a half hour. While writing this review I recalled that I'd been to see Dan about an Interstate warranty years ago & couldn't get any service then either. I recommend a shop that actually honors warranties, without the run around, and speak so rudely to customers. read more

Never Again! This was my first and will be my LAST visit to this shop. My regular mechanic wasn't able to take on the major repair my car needed so he referred me to Monty's Motors or I could try Auto Logic (first warning, always go with the first recommendation). MM couldn't get my car in for an evaluation for 1 week so I called AL and they were able to get me in the next day (second warning, good things are worth the wait). The staff here is negligent in customer relations (asked to be informed of progress and are given the cold shoulder). They are negligent in doing a proper inspection, which they will try to charge you $75.00 for unless you are a man and tell them exactly what the problem is (I told them and they wouldn't have it, my dad says the same thing and its all 'yes sir, in that case we don't need a diagnostic'), also they failed to order the proper bolts needed when they ordered the replacement chain (this they admitted to, to my dad. And when all is said and done when and if you express anything less than jubilation with their half @$$ed job they will be rude and snide. I would rather wait and extra week, or go to the dealership, heck I would rather take auto classes and learn how to fix my own dang car than deal with these people again. read more

I've been taking my 2000 Ford Ranger to Dan & Padji at Autologic for over 12 years. I refuse to take it anywhere else. I came in for my 3,000 mile checkup. Dan told me that my ball joint was on its last legs. I called Friday to order the part. I dropped the truck off @ 0730 Monday morning; the truck was ready for pick up at 11:52, before lunch. You, can't beat that service and the price was below estimate. They're the best auto repair shop in the surrounding area. Before I found out about Autologic, I dealt with the big car companies repair departments in town. They were wishy washy determining my car's mechanical problems. Then tell me that they couldn't get it in the garage for a couple of days. Then they charge me way more than the original quote.
