Purchased my car in 2016 and took it to get darker tint. Was told then that they could not remove the tint but could add another layer of tint instead (no warranty with this option). 7 years later the rear window began to bubble terribly and would make noises from the vibrations of the road. I called 3 places that were quoting me $300+ to remove and replace the tint on the back window.... Pretty steep for 1 window. Ive also had my windshield chipped plenty of times of the 7 years I've owned my vehicle from road debris and finally the construction on 35N got me with a huge crack across the windshield. Called 3 different glass repair shops that were quoting me $400+ for a replacement. One day at the gym I saw an ad for Quality Master Auto Glass that does tint and windshield replacement. I called and spoke with Roberto and was able to give me a competitive quote to replace my windshield and tint that was well within my budget and better than the other locations I contacted. Appointment was set and I dropped off my vehicle that following Saturday 3 hours later my car was ready for pick. I am completely satisfied with the tint job and window replacement. I added tint to my windshield (I didn't know that was a thing) which helps me with night time driving. I took my vehicle to the car wash a week later and did not notice any leaks, which was a common review I saw at other automotive glass shops. Showed up at 10:15 to drop keys off for a 10:30.. hours of operation said open at 8:00 and open sign was on ‍... called to ask if someone could open the door.. dude said yea your appt is at 10:30.. nobody was there, he could of told us that instead of lying.. shows up and says he didn't like our attitude so he won't do service. Aug. 2023 - I had the unfortunate experience several others have commented on and that was dealing with the Owner- Roberto. I called 5 days previously and scheduled an appointment to have my windshield replaced. I showed up on time only to be asked if I could leave the car because the job would take longer than expected. At this point Roberto had both my phone number and email and could have contacted me that morning to say that he was behind and asked me to re-schedule. But to tell me this the minute I walked in the door - was poor customer service right out of the gate. I explained I didn't arrange to leave the car so I would have to wait. I walked back into his one bay shop to see the windshield and noticed my car was the only one so it was confusing why he couldn't do my car as planned. After 2.5 hours passed I called Roberto because I was left in the front lobby with no contact. Roberto said he would another hour. Had he told me earlier it was going to be 3.5+ hours to replace my windshield I would have come back another day. Finally the car is ready but he announces he wants me to pay for the job in full before he will let me see it. 1st time I had heard this! I found this to be really strange since the car was the only one in his shop and sitting 25 ft away from the lobby. I explained I would like to see the car only to confirm it was finished before I finished paying and he refused. Told me that was the way he did business. So without any apology for taking 3.5 hrs of my time Roberto again worked to piss off his customer by blowing a simple request out of proportion. I paid the bill and he let me see my car. He took another 10 min to remove tape, add glue in a few spots, and finish. Closing statement is - I won't be returning to Quality Master Glass for anymore work. I don't need to be treated poorly by an angry owner when others would welcome my business. read more

Taking an even bigger step forward, let's look at what it actually takes for a business to come to life: as J. Cole said, "a dolla and a dream" and that's the beauty of Quality Master Auto Glass! I've been in San Antonio for a little less than a year now and I happened to drop right in the middle of summer with a car that has gone beyond second base, BASICALLY has just making out with the sun every. darn. day. So what was I to do? Coverage was the most obvious choice and TINT was the way I went which was how I found these guys. After doing some searching, I was interested to see that this company had had several reviews but was still in the growing process so I called to see what they had to offer. The lady on the phone was helpful and answered all questions I had. She was able to schedule me later in the day which was perfect for my already busy agenda. 30 minutes out from my appointment I checked the location and it was to my surprise... ...that I found myself at a storage yard! Boy was this a surprise but I tend to look at the glass with the potential to be filled rather than the latter. My appointment time came around and so did the detailer who would handle my tint operation. Following him into the facility we stopped in front of his storage unit and he greeted me ready and eager to handle business which was awesome. Popping up his unit door, a fully equipped tint work area was found and I thought "Whoa! Now that's pretty neat! This guy is onto something!" What most people don't know about me is that I am an enthusiast about money and ways to save it, use it, invest it, put it to work efficiently for you, etc. So upon checking this out, I thought it was absolutely brilliant. This is the stuff new businesses are made out of, it's different, a money saver, efficient and a good work space. All these factors just tickled me silly and I had to check it out. I was instructed when setting up my appointment that I would be able to talk with my detailer (tinter?) about the various materials and what would work with my car and thats exactly what happened. Roberto was super helpful and very kind. I had plenty of questions concerning what each tint was made of and what would work best functionality wise and he steered me in the right direction. Also going in having done some research on tint myself, I was ready to choose the mono carbon for my ride. Backing it into the garage, Roberto began working on my car and explained what he was doing with the sprays and techniques various tinters use which I thoroughly enjoyed learning about. It was a no-BS kind of job and I can appreciate that kind of work, straight to the point, workable, not so PC that people are offended because they aren't being treated to a plasma screen tv on a leather couch while waiting for their car, eating crumpets. This was a business in it's raw form, building the skeleton structure on which it learns its potential to stand on it's own and grow. What a rare and unique opportunity as a Yelper to witness this type of mid-growth operation. After a couple hours, it felt like a day working in your own garage on your car and then being presented with that feeling of accomplishment to see my car roll out in it's first ever tint job and I was impressed! The windows were clean and dark, he explained how to take care of the product, made sure I understood the tint used on each window and to let him know if there was anything I needed. When discussing pricing options, this also was a very affordable and convenient process! The most unprofessional business I have ever dealt with. They did a super fast job, however dealing with the owner is very unpleasant. The receipt was lacking in detail so when I asked a question he became super aggressive and accused me of not believing he made the repair. He shoved the old part at me through the window and started raising his voice at me saying "take it, take it, your window works doesn't it"! It was clear a repair was made, I was just inquiring as to what repair was made. Easy question with what should have been an easy answer. The owner of this shop is unprofessional and rude . Got a quote for a windshield , once at the shop I asked if they offer military discount , he says yes but it's too late . Keep in mind we had not even turn in the keys , so no monetary transaction involved yet , but somehow it's still too late . I proceeded to ask what he meant by too late , he said he booked me at regular price and the paper work was done , again no service has been provided yet . My guess is as a service member you get a different windshield installed at a lower quality , or this guy was too lazy to press a button in his system to add a discount . Either way stay AWAY , this place is a joke . On top of it all , he refused me service because I asked if they offer military discount . Also no mask enforced , owners or workers don't wear a mask .
