Poorly run. Nice staff but the manager Bobbi has no people skills and is very rude.

My friend and I were in town following the unexpected passing of my mother at the end of February…read more When it became clear that staying in my mom's home wasn't healthy for either of us (my mom had been a heavy smoker and then we found mold in two rooms), my friend kindly took the helm and called around to find a hotel that would work within our budget while we continued to make arrangements for my mom and clean out her home for the remainder of the week. As we were checking in, I happened to notice large boxes of dog biscuits in the supply closet behind the front desk. When I inquired, the lovely gentleman who was checking us in told us they were a pet-friendly property for an additional nightly fee. Honestly, in our haste, we hadn't even thought to ask, opting to leave my beloved pooch at my mom's. Needless to say, we went right back to my mom's house and picked up my girl. During our stay, everyone went above and beyond to make sure our stay was as lovely as possible, despite the awful circumstances. Right after we checked in, the attached note was slid under our door, which really moved me. They gave us a beautiful room right next to a well-lit side exit door where there was a large grassy area to safely walk my dog any time of the day or night as well as easily park and drag ourselves in after long physically and emotionally taxing days. In my career, I've worked for high-end hotel companies (on a corporate level) and I've stayed at some of the nicest five star properties in the world. I will say, for chain hotel in a small town like Union City, I was thoroughly impressed with their hospitality, professionalism, cleanliness, and amenities. We decided to come back to the hotel early one night to spend some time at the pool, which was immaculately clean. And most impressively - they had a motorized chair lift for those who are disabled to enjoy the pool as well. I loved the small commissary adjacent to the front desk for those late night snack attacks, of which I had many. And the continental breakfast was one of the nicest I've seen at any hotel I've stayed at. I wouldn't hesitate to stay at any of their properties and highly recommend them. And most notably, I want to extend my everlasting gratitude for providing me a place to land during one of the most difficult weeks of my life.

Very nice staff. Room was very clean with a comfortable bed and lots of pillows. The only reason I…read moredid not give it five stars was because the hot water was not consistent, it kind of came and went throughout the shower in surges. Otherwise it was a great place to stay for the night.

What do you need in a hotel? Clean rooms? Good breakfast? Good pool? Friendly staff? This place does a great job at all that stuff. Very clean, the staff was courteous. You'll always win my heart over with a waffle maker, but on top of that the meats and other side were fresh and very good. Wine your traveling with two children a good hotel breakfast can save you $30-$40. The price of this hotel will make you think it's a little too rough but I think it's low because of the casino a few miles away. Save some money and stay here.

I was traveling from Chicagoland, and this was a hotel stop! The hotel had a lot more…read moreaccommodations than I realized, which was awesome. I didn't take advantage of the pool as it was through the dining area, but I did splurge for a room with a jetted tub, which helped. I was excited to see that they provided dinner, (it was chicken alfredo the night I stayed, though I didn't try any as I'd picked up dinner a few miles earlier), as well as breakfast. The workout room had a nice treadmill that helped me walk some of the driving miles out. Overall a good hotel, and it put Drury Inns on my radar as to try staying at more of these hotels!

The Meadows Hotel is a small boutique fully restored establishment with a good atmosphere and…read morerestaurant. It's grandeur is beautiful! We had the privilege of staying in the Presidential suite and it didn't disappoint. Every detail has been thought of in this grand room! If you want to entertain there is plenty of room. When entering the suite area there is a separate seating area and large bathroom separate from the room. The suite includes a full size ice machine, small refrigerator, bar, glassware, sink, microwave and large screen TV. The king size bed is so comfortable and overlooks a pretty park with a fountain. The bathroom is huge with a fabulous large bathtub. You can fill your tub full and not run out of hot water. I wish there had been some bubble bath liquid, maybe next time the hotel will provide bubbles? The bar and restaurant was fun and the service was great! We ordered the egg rolls, lobster and bang bang shrimp, large side salad and corn soufflé. Next time we will pass on the corn and bang bang shrimp, not our favorite. Everything was good just not what we were expecting. I would rather have the corn served with the pork chop on the menu because the corn is more like a dressing type dish and it is sweet with cinnamon. The bang bang shrimp was good but not memorable mainly because it was fried and the sauce served on the side. In the beautiful lobby there is a baby grand piano. Having someone playing would have been nice. The hotel is very very clean with free parking!! Everyone was friendly and willing to accommodate with a happy smile. So refreshing to come to a place where you feel relaxed, comfortable and pampered. Thank you for a memorable, affordable Presidential suite $250.00 a night stay, we will return!!

We all came for a birthday dinner for our friend's 21st birthday, customer service was TERRIBLE!!!…read more First off it took us two hours to get water and our food, they were out of everything. Our waitress Kyra was SO RUDE! She was cussing about our table in the back. When we would ask for something like water she would say "yea when i get a second" and it still would take HOURS! Very sassy and ill-mannered, all in all would not recommend to anyone!!!!
