Because of my job, I travel all over Northern Ontario, and stay in hotels a lot of the times. Of all the hotels I've stayed in, this is by far the worst one The outside looks rundown, like the motels you see on Dundas Street down in London. You know the kind that charges like $30 a night and caters to a trucker who just wants a cheap place to stay for a rest after driving for 12 hours, or to drug addicts.
The rate per night is astronomical, $175. I don't even think the Delta in London, one of the nicest hotels in that city charges that much per night.
They claim to have a game room, and they do, but most of the games don't work and are close to 20 years old, if not older. - They still have the game Vigilante from 1986, no surprise, it doesn't work. There's also a very badly warped pool table and NO chalk for the pool cues.
The rooms aren't much better, looking like something that would have been passable in 1995 and they're still running on old CRT's and the cable reception is terrible. Me thinks is what they did was split the one connection many many times, which results in a very snowy picture.
It's in the middle of nowhere, so walking down to Micky D's or Subway is out of the question.
The breakfast in the morning was adequate, and I loaded up on free yogurts, that was about the only positive thing going for this dump. read more
