The room was clearly renovated and very welcoming. We missed the breakfast but it didn't matter. Loved the walk in shower, too! My only feedback is that housekeeping should really ensure that that switch at the door will turn on the room lights. Apparently some guests manually shut the lights which renders the switch to be useless. Kudos to Cara for ensuring we had a pleasant stay.

The rooms where immaculate, had new linens, mattresses and towels that rivaled high end hotels I have stayed at. The hotel was quiet and very comfortable. When I got home I had been charge for the no show nights as well as the intended night stay. I called and spoke to Lydia, the owner, and to my surprise, she immediately refunded my no show night for the 2 rooms. I soon found out the internet was not working. Nor the T.V. I was a bit miffed. Went to the office . . which had a sign; "Back in 10 Minutes." Well; they weren't. I went back 3 more times. Finally ,l I had enough after an hour trying to get their attention, I kicked the flower pot (over) I was so mad. Well - that got their attention. Construction/renovation standards were shoddy to the point of looking rushed into completion. There is NO BATH TOWEL BAR ... it seems the designer forgot a place to dry the 2 allotted wet towels. There is a small hand towel bar under the sink, IF you bend over to find it. Cigarette butts on the stairway gave a poor first impression, and the pool area was "closed" even though looking clean. Adding to the ambiance of the pool is a view of an abandoned, weed covered, restaurant next door. The lack of ANY common provisions, ie. Kleenex or coffee maker ... dressing and walking, after waking, to the distant "Lobby" building for (FREE) coffee is a memorably unpleasant experience in 40 degree weather. There are a few tables to sit and drink your coffee while watching the traffic go by. This atmosphere may be considered as quite elegant in India, but quite disappointing to an American consumer.

Outlets that are exposed by one wall do not work. A/C is a old dusty and a loud window unit that was original to the hotel. The bed is tiny but hard. How can 2 adults sleep on this single bed? Yep, we just tossed around all night and were out before 9am! Too early for a vacationing couple for sure. At least we got back on the road early. Do not let the outside pictures of this place, fool you. Look closer and you will see the lack of maintenance and the filth. Avoid this place!

Checking in was easy and fast. The manager had another lady go and check the room to make sure it was clean and she came back and said the room was ready for us. Unfortunately when I entered the room and went into the bathroom I was immediately disgusted. There was huge globs of hair in the shower and also on the back of the toilet. One of the beds had a toenail in sheets. It is obvious that they do not clean the rooms they just remake the beds and empty trash cans to make it look like they clean since it was after midnight we decided to sleep and I went and told the manager in the morning. He looked at me like you could care less and just said okay I checked you out. I cannot believe that they didn't even care especially when I show them pictures of the room. After seeing that they do not clean the rooms we opted not to eat there and went to McDonalds next door. I will never see another Travelodge again as the cleanliness is ridiculous and the manager didn't care how disgusting the room was.
