We have stayed at this hotel multiple times over past few years never had issue till this stay. We were told hotel had been sold recently and you can tell. It appears the new owners is all about a quick dollar and neglecting cleanliness and standards. The room was filthy! There were bugs all over the floor dead and some were alive. The floors were nasty dirty and had not been mopped. We seen a rat (yes rat not a mouse) running up the walkway where doors for rooms are. Overall would not recommend or stay at again. Health Department or someone needs to do a surprise inspection and shut this place down till rooms are up to standards. There was no rooms available anywhere due to event in area so I bought cleaning supplies and raid bug killer to clean our room. The mop water after I mopped was disgusting! The dirt and bugs I swept up were grose. There were many unhappy guest at this hotel over the weekend all having the same or similar issues. read more

While this is not a 5 star hotel, maybe only a 2 or 3...for the price, it's great! Both the evening and morning front desk ladies were super friendly and helpful. Our room was dated but, clean, free of bugs, safe and quiet. Shower pressure was good. Bed and pillows were comfy. We've stayed in Quality Inns for several nights over the past week as we travel on a motorcycle and we have noticed consistency with the beds and pillows and breakfasts We've slept well and started out each morning with a decent breakfast. As a frequent hotel sleeper, this Quality Inn is a great bargain. read more

Disgusting hotel. Mr Patel owner is rude . Paid for a room with jacuzzi and when I got there . NO JACUZZI. I was told by Ana I would get a refund this was Sept 9 . I called today to follow up and was told by Mr Patel that she couldn't authorize that . So I was lied to. The room was disgusting. Dirty towels shower and bath area . The fire alarm was disconnected and missing the battery . Keep driving. Don't waste your money on this dumb. read more

Very nice hotel. I think I paid a $78 very neat. They even serve you a breakfast in the morning. It's a very good place to stop. I will come back again and the lady from the first desk. I think she's some kind of manager in charge I saw her in the morning preparing the benefits answer all the questions to the clients I really like it. Thank you. read more

Absolutely the worst experience I've ever had in a hotel. When we arrived everything looked great, room seemed clean at first glance, great selection of channels on the TV. Then I wake up at 4am the first night there and find a large black beetle running around in the bathroom. After checking the internet to confirm it was not a cockroach, I got rid of it and was willing to let it go. I can deal with a bug or 2 if they are not cockroaches or bedbugs. Soon after that, my girlfriend woke up and found a Roly poly in the bathroom. Then found multiple others. Also upon closer inspection of the corners of the bathroom there were dead Roly polys in every corner, along with what looked at the time like insect droppings. I later determined that it was probably coffee grounds, so obviously the bathroom was not cleaned properly after the last guests left. Then we found a millipede crawling around on the wall along with more Roly polys. It seemed like every time we collected a bug either dead or alive, more took its place. By the end I had found almost 15 bugs, both dead and alive. I gathered them in the ice bucket and brought it to the front desk around 530 for the first time. The guy who was setting up breakfast and manning the front counter said there was nothing he could do about it and I had to talk to a manager who would be in between 830 and 9. He also said it was normal for bugs to come in from outside. I am aware of that and as I said I can deal with a bug or 2, but not 15. That is considered an infestation. Went back at 845 to eat breakfast and the manager was still not in when we checked out at 930. I had the bug filled bucket with me but the guy at the front desk never asked to see inside. I informed him I was taking the ice bucket with me so I could bring it back and show the manager later. I left my number and he promised that he would have her call me as soon as she got in. 1230 rolled around and I had not received a call so I called to see if she was in. I was told she was out sick and would call me on Monday. This happened on a Saturday. The young guy on the phone then went on to accuse me of making it up to get a discount on the room. He also said that as soon as I took the ice bucket off the property all my claims meant nothing, as if I would plant the evidence. He said people went to look at the room and didn't find much (of course they didn't find much, I have all the bugs with me). He said the exterminator was there this week spraying for bugs and that's why we found all the dead ones (also found many live ones so they apparently didn't do a great job). That also doesn't explain why the coffee grounds are all over the bathroom or why the dead bugs were never cleaned up before we rented the room. In the end after being accused of trying to scam them to save a few bucks, I'm no longer interested in a discount on the room. I've decided to leave reviews everywhere and upload pictures wherever possible.  No one goes to a hotel and expects to find bugs alive and dead all over the place. If it does happen, it needs to be handled far differently than this. We were booked for 4 days but checked out after the first night because we could not stay there another night. We found another hotel across the street (comfort inn) that costs a few dollars more but is much nicer and thankfully bug free. Stay away from quality inn hillsville. Customer service is terrible and the place seems to be filled with bugs (If one room is, more probably are). read more

Everything was as advertised and it was a quiet place to catch some z's also dog friendly!

was given the first room, smelled like pot so bad there was no way I was having my 80 year old momma stay in it. Plus there was red and blue looked like sticky candy all over the duvet. Went to the front desk, spoke with the lady that was the assistant manager Rachel F. She apologized, blamed it on the cleaning staff. So I got a second room, walked in, same thing but worse. Found a joint, and the housekeeping key in there. Went back to the front desk, she apologized said that room was a DIFFERENT cleaner. Gave me a 3erd room, it was decent. At first, then found bugs in the bathroom. Bathroom floors were nasty. I put the sign on the door for no cleaning, the cleaning crew came in anyway. Took a few of my dirty towels, and didn't bring any clean. Went to the office, same manager, apologized. I've stayed, as well as my family at this hotel off and on for over 20 years, and have NEVER EXPERIENCED ANYTHING LIKE THIS!! I'm very disappointed. read more

We came in late, to what was supposedly a non-smoking room. It reeked of stale cigarettes. Unfortunately for me, my travelling companion feel asleep in 5 minutes, so I was stuck between waking him up or trying to sleep there. When I asked the desk staffer in the morning, she admitted it 'used to be smoking'. Changing out half the items in a long term smoking room DOESN'T work. It permeates the drywall and carpet, the AC keeps pumping ut back through a contaminated filter. Disgusting. read more

Traveling from Florida to Pennsylvania. This location is always the best to stop for the night. This year we called ahead to ask what safety measures they were taking. They were knowledgeable on all the requirements necessary And assured us that they were strictly followed at their hotel. The best part is when we arrived we found out that they were truly dedicated to their customers safety. The desk clerk was clearly Passionate about following the guidelines. Then we got to our Room we were really impressed. Spotless and clean. Actually Sparkling clean. We had brought our own blankets and pillows just in case we needed to sleep on top of the bed covers. No need. We really appreciated the dedication this hotel had to safety. read more

My husband and I had been on the road for about 14 hours when we finally decided to take a break for the night. We have a small dog, and this was the first property in the area to accept us. The pet fee of $15, which is declared at check in, is really reasonable. The room is clean and comfy, perfect for a night's sleep. The night time check in clerk was super friendly and helpful! read more

The rooms smells and there is stains all over the room. The light switch was all sticky and the bathroom smelled like urine.

If I could give this hotel zero stars I would!! We get to our first hotel room and our tub was dirty, there was a dirty towel left on the back of the door, nothing was cleaned very well; so I change rooms. My next room was absolutely disgusting. Another dirty tub and not cleaned very well once again. But this time I give up and say whatever it's just one night. Until I move my pillow and there is a DEAD BUG with its guts spread across my pillow. So I'm packing my stuff to leave and there's a cellphone on the ground meaning nobody vacuumed the ground. I go to the front desk and he couldn't care less, I'm baffled as to how dirty this hotel was. ABSOLUTELY DISGUSTING!!! read more

I stayed one night while driving from Michigan to South Carolina . It was relatively cheap for a Friday night and the front desk clerk was very nice when I checked in late 1 am. Gave me a handicap accessible room. Looked clean and relatively new. Beds were comfy and clean. Carpet was clean. Fridge and microwave in good condition. Tub looked brand new and was clean. read more

Great customer service! We arrived around 4AM, and asked if we could have a later checkout - they told us we could stay until 1. Besides the peeling finish in the bathtub, the rooms look to be in good condition. There is a fridge which I always love to have, and other items like a microwave and coffee maker. The mattress seemed decent and the pillows were comfortable. I was surprised when I went to have a shower and turned on the "fan" and it was actually a heat lamp - that was a great feature to keep me warm when coming out of the shower, I have never even seen that in higher-end hotels before and am impressed! The four stars is mainly for being good about the checkout time, I would recommend this hotel. read more

Great room! Nice quiet and very clean. Small pool (great for some relaxation). Breakfast looked great. Got there at 9:25 and had the food snatched up infront of me without a word. Good thing I just wanted a bagel. Customer service at breakfast time is awful! I will stay again based on the room cleanliness alone. read more

Very clean place with comfy beds and pillows. Around $100 for room including a $10 pet fee. Traveling with toddler and cat and the room was perfect. TV had Sprout channel! We would stay here again, for sure. read more

Nice hotel. Comfortable beds and nice pillows. Bathroom was not as clean as I would like it to be. Random hairs all over. I paid more for the jacuzzi tub. The tub was not as clean as I would like either. The A/C in the room was adequate but did not seem to get that cold. Breakfast was OK. This was a last minute decision to stay here. They do allow dogs which is a plus! read more

Very nice facility. Clean. Staff friendly. Breakfast good. But internet connection poor. Service interupted several times in the hour I used it. Think twice if you are staying on business and expect to accomplish any work on-line. read more

Dated interior in room. The room was full of gnats flying around bothering us. The walls had some dirty marks. I expect better for over $100.00 per night. This hotel has the rooms doors opening to the outside right next to parking lot, which is convenient. But it made me worry about security, and the people staying above us set up chairs outside of their room over looking the parking lot and talked loudly. I will not stay here again. I prefer newer more modern hotels with cleaner interiors and a more secure hallway set-up. read more

Quality Inn - Dirty wall next to bed. - Hotels Near Me - Hillsville, Virginia

This place is filthy. This is supposed to be a nonsmoking facility, but there are cigarette butts everywhere lying around on the sidewalks and in front of the doorways to the rooms, even in front of a door marked "maintenance". An overflowing outdoor garbage can near our room was never emptied from the time we arrived until we got in our car to leave. The vending machine had a sign marked "out of order." The first room we were given had obviously dirty bedding so we asked for another room. In the second room, we found beer bottle caps on the floor and counters that had not been cleaned up and one of our beds was not made yet. We were given bedding, but were expected to make the bed ourselves. What hotel expects guests to make their own beds? We've asked around. None! But the general manager to whom we complained the next morning seemed to think this is common practice and was very rude and defensive. Apparently she doesn't know the meaning of "hospitality" industry. read more

Our criteria is simple. Pet Friendly, Convenient, Clean, Cheap. It meets all of these but it is definitely nothing special. While they offer breakfast we tend to go out; the selection is very limited. While the Wi-Fi is free it is relatively non-existent in our room, I had to tether through my phone. read more

Good place to stay for one night! Relatively cheap, has a pool, free wifi and breakfast. Only reason I am giving a four star is because the place advertises a fitness room and... Well It wasn't much of a fitness room since it contained no weights. read more
