The staff, primarily in the breakfast area, need an education on service dogs. I have a service dog and was confronted about "dogs" in the eating area. My dog was clearly marked with a service vest and patches. The area was busy and instead of arguing, I just left. I WILL NOT return. read more

Absolutely do not recommend this place! One of the front desk ladies gave us an "ughhhh" when we asked her for a couple more plates after she only gave us two. Breakfast was not the best! I did an inspection on my room. The toilet and bathtub had hairs all over, the bedding looked as if they never change the blankets; hair all over sheets as well. I removed all bedding and revealed a huge stain on the bed and an area where black mold was starting to form they do not steam clean mattresses. Please do NOT stay here even if you are looking for a cheap place to stay. I am a housekeeper at a hotel in Mount Pleasant so I know what I know! read more

You get what you pay for! We Booked a room for one night while visiting a friend for her birthday. Didn't spend much time in the room, except to shower and sleep. Room was clean and cool. We were able to adjust the thermostat which was great! The beds in room 221 were super comfy! My girlfriend and I both had amazing night sleeps. We both are used to waking up at 6am, so sleeping in till 8:30 was amazing! read more

I am on a cross country trip and decided to book a last minute stay at the Quality Inn motel in Grand Rapids, Michigan. I got the room for super cheap and was not expecting the motel to be as nice as it is, not only was our room clean but it smelled nice as well. The grounds are well kept and the facilities are well maintained. The front desk host was just the cherry on top. James, was kind and very easy to talk with, he made check in easy and quick, (which we all love). James, offered a bit of knowledge on the upcoming days letting me know availability and prices if I choose to stay. Just all around a great experience! 10 out of 10 recommend! read more

Just read the reviews, but I'll include my experience too. Came into my room to notice it looked almost as if it was abandoned. Cobwebs throughout, full body mirror that is in other rooms ripped right off the door (and gone), shower and toilet still dirty from the folks before. people yelling and fighting at all hours of the day and night. Kicker: crusted blood on the bed sheets and comforter indicate this facility doesn't prioritize cleanliness as this is a huge biohazard. read more

I guess you get what you pay for... let's see where do we start... The check in attendant seemed extremely annoyed to have to assist us with checking in. She asked for my last name 3 times even after I offered my confirmation number to assist with finding my reservation. She advised we would need to drive to the back to get to the room which wasn't a problem. There were only stairs to get to the second floor so handicapped parties may have trouble. Once entering the room we noticed the outdated design and interior. I was happy to see a microwave and refrigerator but disappointed to visibly see the extension cord connecting to both. There were multiple poor patch jobs of holes in the wall above the bed which leads me to believe there may have been a shoot out there. I thoroughly check the bed to make sure there weren't any bed bugs. There weren't but you got that vibe from how it felt there. There was a flat screen TV with a few channels to watch and the hotel was one exit away from my destination which I could appreciate. Ultimately, I learned my lesson, never go the cheap route... well at least not THAT cheap! read more

We stayed 2 nights July 14-15 and for $400 I should have slept in my car. The from desk attendant James was friendly however Vamsi was not. The room wasn't as clean as it should have been when we checked in but when we informed Vamsi that our room wasn't clean the next day and the towels weren't replaced instead of having someone do it he moved us to a room on the second floor. So we had to pack all our things and go to the other room. The breakfast was subpar so we went to McDonald's in front of the hotel. The hot tub only had one jet working and wasn't even hot. read more

Checked in. A bunch of bugs in the room. Huge stains on the sheets. Best part...went to put food in the microwave and an old slice of pizza was in there. I told management and showed him the photos. He asked what I wan't. I said I don't know, just tell your cleaning staff. I wasn't given anything which is fine. This hotel preaches masks because of COVID and can't serve breakfast, but lets you sleep in a room that is a cess pool. read more

Waited four hours to get into the hot tub because the same people were in there for four hours, front desk guy said he couldn't do anything about it and that we had to wait but yet the lady on the phone I talked to before we showed up and I asked her about the pool situation she said she would tell the people that had been in there the longest that they have 30 mins and then there time is up but yet the guy couldn't do anything. After finally getting in the hot tub then being in there for only like 45 minutes we had to leave cause it was closing. Went back to room and took a shower, hear a knock on the door saying hello, I get out IN MY TOWEL and the front desk guy says just wanted to see if someone was in there. Well why wouldn't someone be in here? Breakfast was sad. Only two options, a small muffin or a microwaveable sandwhich. Nothing else it was kinda sad. There was a used towel in our shower, semen or what looked like semen stains on the bed skirt and why the heck was the smoke detector in the bed? Also quoted 65$ for each night cause I booked two nights and for charged 62$ for one and then 94$. Was quoted 130 then jumps up to 180 after I had paid for it. When checking out the lady at the desk said she couldn't issue a refund because she didn't have that power and to leave my name and number for the manager to call and still have not gotten or heard from the manager. The fact the smoke detector was in the bed and house keeping supposedly changes the sheets make me wonder did they actually change the sheets or they did and just were lazy and left the smoke detector in the bed? Probably wouldn't stay again. Really hoping I get some sort of my money back. read more

The room was clean. The breakfast was a nice option while traveling. The best part is the room has coffee and they have hot coffee or hot tea options 24 hrs. Easy access from parking lot to rooms. I would stay here again. read more

This hotel was not as clean, my comforter had blood on it as well as the throw spread on top of the comforter. I don't know how house keeping miss it. I will never stay here again. Good thing I brought my own sleeping bag. read more

Nothing impressive to look at, in fact I can't remember seeing a sign as we drove up. The hotel is part of Choice Rewards and they were having a stay twice get 1 free stay promo going on and the hotel is literally across the street from Meijers Corporate HQ where we had a review of our product line for 2018 sales So as we pulled up I was like "Holy Crap" It looked rough but the convenience of being close to our business interests outweighed the looks. We did not get broken into. The night lady spent most of the night outside smoking or on her phone talking but it did not affect my stay I even got to wash clothes while there I will stay here again just because of the convenience read more

BED BUGS, not cool, bad, don't go, stay away, be warned, do not approach, there are bed bugs here, you have been warned

This place is the worst hotel I've ever been in. It's a coin toss on whether or not you'll get a room with a fridge and the rooms look like they were put together in someone's basement. Showers missing handles, hair on the bed sheets, HVAC wall units that keep the room ice cold to blazing hot, and worst of all....several hours after checking in and going to the pool, finding out our room's door doesn't lock. Shall I continue? The fridge had a special treat. The previous renter's sausage patty and BW3 chicken wings were left inside. And of course...blood on the room door. read more

We were desperate for a place to stay after going up to Grand Valley State to move our daughter in. There were no hotels with vacancy anywhere within a 1/2 hour drive. This place had vacancy and I can see why. We paid $200 for a filthy, disgusting motel. The carpets are filthy, there was zero water pressure in the shower, it was 98 degrees outside and the air conditioning units you can't adjust( there is a high and low) to a temp. It never cooled he room and we roasted all night. The bathroom fan doesn't work and was covered in 3 inches of dust. Paint peeling in the rooms too. The beds are hard as a rock. The only decent thing was the free breakfast in the morning. So glad we only had to stay one night. This hotel should be $70 bucks a night at most. read more

Not sure why this has such bad reviews, we experienced no issues during our stay. Building might look a little worn when you first pull in, however, our room was clean and appears to have been recently updated. I would have no issues staying again at this hotel. Although we didn't use the pool, pool area was neat and clean, breakfast was decent for what we paid and what we expected, and Lola at the front desk was very friendly. They even allowed our sons baseball team to take the patio table to a shaded area off the parking lot for a team dinner. read more

Stayed at this hotel the past 2 nights. Frankly, after reading the reviews, we were a little hesitant to say the least. We checked in, pool area appeared very clean... lady at the desk was very friendly and nice. Our room was dated but didn't smell like the reviews stated... was clean and well equipped. I think I had the best 2 nights sleep than I have had in a while. Beds were comfortable... we checked for bed bugs but didn't find any. We had. Real fast both mornings. Maybe people posted the wrong hotel but for the price we paid, hotel was just fine. Would stay there again. read more

I actually had a pretty good experience at this hotel despite some poor reviews. The girl who works the front desk was there when I arrived and was there when I went to breakfast. She acted like she did not believe me when I booked and prepaid through hotels.com. It took at least 10 minutes to check in with no line. The rooms are remodeled and very clean and well equipped. There are no handicapped accessible rooms as there is no elevator. If you need a room that is ADA compliant you will have to request a first floor room. Nice flat screen TV and spacious area with desk and for changing. The curtains blow all over the place when the air is on. Use a heavy cosmetic bag to weigh them down and you should be fine. They tout a big deal continental breakfast which is cereal, biscuits, waffles, strawberry banana yogurt and egg patties and coffee. No juice. Not such a big deal. There is a great swimming pool. No complimentary newspaper. 71 bucks out the door. Not bad. read more

Hotel is dark and feels a little sketchy when arriving late at night. The gentleman at the front desk was very friendly and notified me of all the important things ie breakfast, internet password, and location of room. Upon opening the door to the room the lights did not turn on via the light switch but was remedied by plugging the lights in. The carpet and furniture is basic but in good repair. I noticed a piece of gum on the movie guide, followed by a razor on the bathroom counter, hair in the bathroom and, greasy finger prints and a gum wrapper on the nite stand. Makes you wonder if they changed the sheets from the last guest. read more

Under renovation ... dirt & dust everywhere ... not serving breakfast ... no Fox Sports Detroit for Red Wings game ... no channel guides in room ... not told of renovations when booking ... did not deliver extra pillows ordered when booking ... arrived late so have to stay here tonight but not next time we're in town read more

Never again! Beds are beyond uncomfortable, each having three pillows the size of a throw pillow. The hallways reek of stale cigaret smoke...maybe related to the old 90's looking floral carpet? The coffee pot in our room still had old coffee filter/grounds in it from heavens knows how long, complete with mold, in the filter basket and nasty drip spots on the top of the carafe that were white...what is white that would be on it??? After washing it out and setting it up, realized we would have to unplug lights to plug in coffee pot...minimal outlets. Towels were all sorts of scratchy....may want to look into some form of softener...for the water or the detergent...something. Toilet was so loud and took forever to stop running, which disturbed everyone in the room when anyone had to go at night. Doors are so thin...can hear every noise from the hall. Never, never, never again.... read more

Worst hotel I ever stayed at. If you have any other choice pick it. One staff on duty all weekend for everything check in, housekeeping, breakfast and what ever else. No elevator. Very outdated. Not very clean. Have to rate to post only reason giving one star. read more

Nice owners. Great staff. Pool and jacuzzi good. The new sinks and lighting is beautiful. The paint color much better than before but sloppy. You can see the old paint because there's lines. Having a Bob Evans right there is nice but they stopped delivery to the hotel. Nicely located one mile from shopping and restaurants. They allow pets and you can't even tell. Breakfast was a great spread. I wouldn't try the flat round McDonald's like egg. The ceiling had wet area on it and stained and peeling. The rooms are ok. The beds they put something underneath to make them set up higher but it just looks dumb. The AC is either super cold or super hot. The window didn't lock. Found a bug in the bed. The pillows are small and uncomfortable. Found a black tiny curly hair in the shower before we even used it. Then the plastic rod in the shower has mold and black underneath it. Found another hair the other end of the tub. Then a potato bug on the wall. Overall great price! read more

No. Do not come here. The room that I stayed in had blood on the ceiling and hair covering the shower wall. Okay staff but very blunt.

Arrived before sunset. Police SUV out front. Walker's finest was investigating absence of desk clerk. Told us to come back in an hour. Came back after dinner. We dialed "0" to summon her and she finally showed up frowning from whatever it was she was doing outside including personal caller on her cell while we were waiting to be checked in. A very bad attitude, and neither of two key cards issued could access premises from parking lot. Had to block door open with rug. She acted very put out that the cards wouldn't work from outside. Requested a second room with view to parking lot as high-value kayaks are on rack mounted to vehicle with only a locked braided cable. Still can not see truck from our room with direct line of sight. Doubt security is even close to adequate. For $100 a night this place is a dinge. Not even pillows but lumpy wadded up balls shown. Photos not shown as yet. Should add but can't. This ap sucks. read more
