I wanted to stay at a hotel with a pool, spa, fitness center, and business center. The plan was to have the "meet the parents," dinner, then enjoy staying at the hotel. The pool is outdoors, which (a) I don't remember being listed as such on Expedia specifically, and (b) doesn't make sense to have for a hotel in a moderate climate where cold weather may cause the pool to be closed. The "spa" is actually a hot tub. I was expecting an actual spa with services, such as a massage or facial. Bonus downer, the spa is located OUTSIDE with the pool and is therefore closed. The fitness center is small with seemingly dated equipment, but it's nice and clean. It works well enough if all you need is cardio to avoid a skip day. There is a meeting room, but there is not a business center with individual computers as I expected. Any plans I had for online wedding planning have been thawrted. The room itself is nice, clean, and comfortable. The hotel is very clean and comfortable in the lounge and breakfast area. Had I known this hotel didn't have what I wanted I would have been more than happy to find an alternate location with ammenities more suited to what I was expecting. Still, for what we've received versus paid, this hotel is definitely 5/5.

First, the hotel was extremely crowded and appeared to be hosting an event beyond its capacity. There was no available parking, and we were told to park in the AMC parking lot instead. The carpet was disgusting. There was no shower gel or shampoo in the room, and there weren't enough towels for two people. We had to go downstairs to the front desk to pick up the missing items ourselves. Breakfast was also extremely crowded, and the food did not seem sanitary. I even spotted a bug in the bread area. I honestly don't know how this hotel has such a high rating. Maybe other guests had different expectations or simply had a different experience than we did. Even the photos online do not reflect the hotel's actual condition. Overall, this hotel was not worth the money at all. I've had much better experiences with other hotels in this chain, so this stay was especially disappointing. It was a complete waste of money.

They had miniature scones, oatmeal, yogurt, waffles, and other hot breakfast items available each day. Did I mention they have pumpkin spice waffles right now? Not going to lie I was super excited! The pool is closed at the moment, but the indoor workout room did not smell like a nasty, old, rotten jam, it was actually rather pleasant, and all of the equipment was well-kept! We stopped in here on our way back to Texas after finding their coupon in one of the coupon books at the state travel/rest area. The price seemed too good to be true for anything decent, yet economical on the interstate. But we also looked at Yelp and saw Kim G.'s comments so decided to give it a whirl since we were on an extremely tight budget and it was getting late in the day. We had an immaculate room, queen bed non-smoking. Slept great and had a free continental breakfast, pretty much your normal free breakfast, except the very nice staff cooked our delicious hot waffle for us. Totally unexpected! The breakfast area was larger than most so we didn't feel crowded or that we had to eat and get out of the way for the next guests. TV worked great, shower hot and a spacious quiet room. They are no frills, but for the $$ we loved the view, convenience and warm hospitality and will definitely stay here again next time we're in the area. Hopefully we can stay longer and enjoy the patio or balcony that comes with every room.
