To their credit, they did warn us that the older electrical circuits might cause occasional flickering lights. What we didn't expect: Lights turning on and off by themselves. The television powering on in the middle of the night. Bed sheets being pulled off us while we slept. Feeling as if I was being touched and it wasn't my husband. The paranormal energy was far more intense than we'd anticipated--and ultimately, we decided to cut our trip short. Other concerns: The pool was dirty, and while breakfast was tasty, it was surprisingly sparse. As someone who's stayed in many bed and breakfasts, this was the first time I've encountered a buffet-style setup with no table settings, no water service, and a limited selection. Seemed like she was having immense trouble grasping small details around fraudulent credit card use. I then ask for the manager's number and Kylie provides me with A FAX MACHINE NUMBER, lol.... wow.... We went downstairs and Vanessa quickly tried to remedy the situation by offering another room. Only problem is that the replacement room only had a sofa sleeper, not another bed for our 10 year old son. We went to check that room and the sofa bed was FILTHY and full of stains. My son looked very sad when we tried to convince him to sleep on it. After seeing the overall lack of cleanliness, dirty doors, sofas and carpet, we decided not to stay in this hotel. Vanessa was very apologetic and promised a refund early next day so we left. That didn't happen. I contacted Expedia to intervene and a Mr. Kamit Basil (manager at Microtel) responded saying that the room they had offered us didn't have a broken sink or clogging toilet. He provided Expedia with a video of a DIFFERENT room!! Mr. Basil was argumentative and combative and said he would do his own investigation. I still could have came and checked in but now my reservation is cancelled in their system when they said they couldn't cancel. The free wifi is a joke because it only works half the time, the cable is in and out, the rooms are so deteriorated that you fall through your floor at any time, like the lady in room #16 here recently. The management and maintenance team, well, they should not have been brought in to replace the previous manager who actually tried to help you. This motel is so run down with poor management decisions as of late with clients being told information about other clients that pertains to accounts, privacy, personal matters and Much more including management starting rumors to stir strife between clients they give this place a 2.3 star rating, yet this place should not a rating at all. I stayed here for 6 months, the first 3 we're great, the last 3 we're up and down, nothing stable at all. People go against what the actual owner wants for this place and how he wants it ran to satisfy their own personal needs and desires. This place should be shut down, and people taken to court for occurrences that are taking place that are ruining people's lives. Do not go here, it's all lies and shambles.
