We had already been driving about 8 hours at that point, since early morning. I was wearing grubby clothes since we were just stuck in the truck driving for the day, and we didn't expect this at all. While we had some water and snacks, being stranded in an old truck at high noon in 95° weather on the side of the road in an unfamiliar state was... not great. Not to mention, we couldn't get too far off the road because of the tire's condition - so staying in the truck was not a safe option. Staying outside with no shelter was also not an option, given the high heat and humidity. Thankfully, all of this happened on the highway just in front of the Blytheville Hampton Inn. A bit embarrassed, I asked the front desk if my Mom and I could sit in their air conditioned lobby just to get out of the sun for a bit. Not only were we welcomed, but we were given incredible hospitality for the five freaking hours it took for the rental company to call someone out to get the tire changed. They offered to drive us somewhere for lunch, gave us water and offered soda as well, and allowed us to sit and watch TV in their breakfast nook to pass the time. We were able to charge our phones and keep an eye on the truck. The staff didn't have to do or allow any of that. They could have told us to stand there, or sit in the front area or just outside. In our helpless moment, the kindness of these strangers was so, so appreciated. Especially as that helpless moment dragged on to five hours, they checked in on us, made sure we were hydrated, and asked about our progress. I can't imagine the two of us being out there for so long in the heat. Although for a bit I thought we would end up booking a room to stay the night because the repair was taking so dang long, we finally got fixed up and decided to just continue the trek and get it over with. I didn't get a chance to thank each of the staff that helped us, but this experience made me understand and value the Hampton/Hilton brand and level of hospitality. If you're reading this, please know how much we appreciated your kindness to two strangers on the side of the road.

A Very Pleasant Stay…read more I'm the Blytheville area once or twice a year for business, my company either books me at the Hampton across the street or at the Holiday Inn. I've stayed here before and I've eaten at the Bistro. I really like this property, it's close to the highway, gas stations, and restaurants and Walmart and shops are minutes away. The staff is always friendly and treats me very well and this time like last time and the time before, I got a great room. The rooms are clean, modern spacious and have modern furniture. On this stay, I had a large King room with a couch and a chair in the living room area. The bed was comfortable, the bathroom was spotless and the wifi signal strong. These are all components of a good stay for a business traveller. Just a warning there is a little outdoor corridor that I stuck on as I went downstairs to the gym without my room card and got stuck outside for a few minutes. I always take the elevator now. The hotel has really nice fitness center with modern equipment the pool is a nice treat, and the Bistro has great food and craft beer (see my review). I ate finally in Perkins downstairs and had a really great breakfast. What can I say, I had a very uneventful, pleasant stay.

Comfort Inn was more than adequate, the room was clean, the bed was comfortable, plenty of hot water, and breakfast was good, with eggs, meat, biscuits and gravy. ABVI's staff were able to honor all of our requests and they did so with grace. Outstanding! since we gave them only about two hours notice. Staff is extremely accommodating, helpful and kind. The king bed was comfortable. The room was clean. TV had abundant channels - great for relaxing. It appears they are doing some renovations/improvements to the motel. Pretty work. If you are traveling thru and need an economical place to get a good nights rest with a simple breakfast from good people, ABVI is perfect. ABVI is a motel. First appearances can be very strong and can influence these reviews. If this hotel was in better surroundings I'm sure it would get better reviews. As it is this hotel sits next to a dilapidated medium sized vacant former strip mall in dire need of being razed. It's parking lot is cracked concrete in and in rough shape but it does serve as additional parking for vehicles with trailers like myself. Fairview Inn's is asphalt and small in comparison but in very good shape. If you can manage to look past their bad neighbor it will give you a more accurate assessment of Fairview Inn. There's no getting around this when you walk in the lobby...the smell. You know you've entered an Indian run establishment. The owners need to stop with that overpowering stench of that Indian incense or cooking or whatever it is. It needs to go. Americans don't like that crap. Stop it. Besides that the guy who checked me in was nice and polite. That's all I can expect. The room: On a scale of 1-10 I give room 109 a 5 for general appearance. The furniture looks like it came from a crack house (sofa looked pretty rough and stained). Floors are cheap simulated wood which is easy to clean as opposed to carpet but lacks sound deadening and is colder on bare feet. The bathroom was clean as was the sink counter and basin. The faucet was loose which is no big deal but shows a lack of a skilled handyman who oversees the property. The tv is a modern flat LCD with plenty of channels. Nice touch. In conclusion if you just need a cheap room for the night and are moving on the next morning this will do. It's not a place that you'll want to stay days at. There's plenty other hotels in town that would be better but of course will cost more.
