Quality Inn - Another view of ceiling leaking on bed and floor

This Hotel does not not live up to choice privilege standards. Really needs better management and…read morefront desk staff. The pool they say was under construction and the nightly rate should have been reduced due to the pool not in working condition. Front desk staff Marie, Jamie, GM -Kim all Rude. We checked into room 109 first. We spent first few days in this room. We left to visit my family in Missouri on July 4th. After returning to the room thinking it was going to be relaxing, we walked into a total mess of the ceiling leaking water or whatever above all the bed and floor was soaked. So, I went to the front desk to report it and the lady at front desk was abrupt and rude didn't want to come and see what was going on. She just said that she didn't have time to deal with me, I'm just going to have to move you to another room 129. The next morning, I went to speak with GM Kim & Jamie. It was not a good experience Kim would not come out from the back office and speak to me I had to go through Front desk agent Jamie. I said is Kim not going to come out and speak to me on this matter. Jamie said blatantly that she is not coming out and will not be doing anything else for me. I asked what she (GM Kim) is going to do about the room flooding again Jamie went to the back to relay message to GM again no resolution to this issue. Except, leave a note at front to not rent to me anymore because of me complaining about the room flooding from ceiling to them. This hotel has poor management, Front desk staff and maintenance. I did leave my info with Mr. Houseworth (The Owner) office to contact me. NO RESPONSE. The only Front Desk agent (Kierra) that was Very Nice to us from the start, not rude and abrupt like other front desk staff and GM and was Very apologetic on behalf of the others. She was very professional.

This is the worse Quality Inn I have ever stayed in. I reserved a handicap room. When I got to the…read morehotel the front desk put me on the 2nd floor. I told him I reserved a handicap room, king nonsmoking. He said he didn't have any. He could put me in a 2 bed queen for an extra fee. I paid him, he gave me the key, the wrong key, and told me my room was on the back side. Boy did I have a walk to my room. I have severe back problems and walking the distance to my room, I was in pain by time I got all of my stuff in the room. The room had hair on the floor, dirty toilet, blood on one of the bedspreads, dust on the dresser and refrigerator and the tub was disgusting with hair. Never again will I stay here. The place is run down and needs to be cleaned and updated. There was people outside my room all hours of the night. I didn't feel safe here.

Siiiiigh. I can't say enough about this hotel. I'll try to be brief…read more * Decor is straight out of the late 1970s. Never been remodeled at all. * Some of the electrical switches didn't work - lights, fans, I don't know, they just don't all work. * The windows are VERY noisy. You hear freeway traffic like it's 10 feet away. The windows wouldn't close fully and I'm sure they're not double paned so there's no sound insulation. * Random dirt - inside the window latches that wouldn't latch, inside the top of the toilet rim - clearly never cleaned. Covers had holes and other unclean pieces. * Fan was really loud so I left it off and just slept without air. Worked for the circumstances (mid 50s outside, so stayed around 70 inside). On the other hand... * Free breakfast, decently well stocked * Friendly service at front desk Gonna have to say pass on this place until/unless they completely rehab the rooms. Brad W. hit the nail on the head.

Alright let me set the record straight due to the previous two negative reviews. This hotel wasn't…read moreas bad as that guy said "worst hotel in America". Yes this hotel could use an influx of cash for remodeling but I've stayed in worse . The price was $20 less expensive then the closest competing hotel. I regularly stay in hotels along the interstate due to my job as a small truck driver who delivers barge parts in the south and mid continent areas. I usually only stay in a room for about 8-12 hours so luxuries aren't big priority but cleanliness is. No one wants to stay in a dirty room. First appearances can be very strong and can influence these reviews. If this hotel was in better surroundings I'm sure it would get better reviews. As it is this hotel sits next to a dilapidated medium sized vacant former strip mall in dire need of being razed. It's parking lot is cracked concrete in and in rough shape but it does serve as additional parking for vehicles with trailers like myself. Fairview Inn's is asphalt and small in comparison but in very good shape. If you can manage to look past their bad neighbor it will give you a more accurate assessment of Fairview Inn. There's no getting around this when you walk in the lobby...the smell. You know you've entered an Indian run establishment. The owners need to stop with that overpowering stench of that Indian incense or cooking or whatever it is. It needs to go. Americans don't like that crap. Stop it. Besides that the guy who checked me in was nice and polite. That's all I can expect. The room: On a scale of 1-10 I give room 109 a 5 for general appearance. The furniture looks like it came from a crack house (sofa looked pretty rough and stained). Floors are cheap simulated wood which is easy to clean as opposed to carpet but lacks sound deadening and is colder on bare feet. The bathroom was clean as was the sink counter and basin. The faucet was loose which is no big deal but shows a lack of a skilled handyman who oversees the property. The tv is a modern flat LCD with plenty of channels. Nice touch. In conclusion if you just need a cheap room for the night and are moving on the next morning this will do. It's not a place that you'll want to stay days at. There's plenty other hotels in town that would be better but of course will cost more.
