This hotel is in the process of being renovated. It could be a very nice hotel. The biggest problem was the lack of customer service. There is hardly ever anyone at the desk. During breakfast there is not anyone overseeing the items to make sure there is enough. The staff stays in the back where you can't see them, so it's hard to get refills. Our first room had to be changed, because it wasn't clean. The second room did not have a "do not disturb" sign for when you left. I check in and the lady in the front desk have a major attitude problem honest I don't care about that, I get to my room and half of the lights in my room don't work I go to plug my cell to the wall and to my surprise the plug don't work, I go and try to check my email and to my surprise the wifi don't work I call the lady at the front desk and guess what she say " Sorry I can't help you, you can come to the computer that is located in the lobby if you want", so I say to myself fuck it, I go get some ice and guess what... the ice machine don't work. For the little amount of money I spent, this hotel was not bad at all. The downside was that besides the main building they built extra rooms away from the building, resembling the old cheap hotels where the building is one long strip. That was not too bad but the rooms only had a twin bed. This is fine when flying solo, but having multiple people will cause a problem. I know you can stay in the main building where the suites are, but that will double your price. I would not go entirely off this because I did not research that option too well. Another perk is that they have a great restaurant across the street. VERY EXCELLENT food. That restaurant will even provide room service to your room, of coarse for an inflated price. I would just recommend walking across the street and save you a few dollars. The breakfast in the morning was awesome! They had a full line of scrambled eggs, bacon, waffles, cereal, you name it. If you like breakfast there will be no reason you leave on an empty stomach. Very good. If looking for a motel to stay at when passing through, I would recommend this place to anyone. Well worth the money, but you have to deal with a small room and a twin bed. read more

First time here and I can say I will be back again. It's not the Ritz, but rates are good, free hot breakfast, and my room was quiet. The only downsides are that the Wi-Fi service is free, but slow and spotty and my bed was just okay. read more

Worst reception, rudest staff, just downright despicable. Supply, and demand results at its worst!!! I have never felt so insulted while handed handing someone money! Of course this town is very busy right now. Does not excuse this kind of unprofessionalism. The company that i work for has even given them a corporate kick to lower our price. And still they were just completely disrespectful. Completely unforgivable, and disgusting, especially coming from someone so obviously disrespectful to her self. a lot of people coming through town, they are making a mint. Nice Hotel, went for a business trip and stayed 3 nights. Big pool and spa, the pool was a little bit dirty, but we all had a good time. Staff was friendly and very helpful, breakfast was your typical hotel food, the dining room could use a thorough cleaning! The had horse shoes and shuffle board...that was fun! They also have an outdoor bbq for you to use, that was cool. Rooms were clean and the maids we friendly and cleaned well. I'd stay here again. read more

Made my reservation using my points, but had to pay when I got here. I was notified by email that this place does not qualify for a rewards night. So Quality Inn took my points and my money. Receptionist had no clue what about using my points. Our room was next to the kitchen I think and smelled of cooking. I won't be staying here the next time I go through here. read more

We stayed here for the weekend. Great rates, my dog was allowed with another great rate. Room was clean and service was great. The indoor hot tub and pool was a huge hit to my kiddos and the free hot breakfast was awesome. We loved our stay and will definitely stay again. read more

I travel all over the world doing comedy hypnosis shows. The staff here (front desk and housekeeping) was extremely friendly and accommodating. Brenda, a manager, went over and above to make our stay as enjoyable as possible. The hotel lobby, breakfast area, lobby rest rooms and my room were very clean and well maintained. The water was hot. The sink and tub drained properly. The room was good sized, had good lighting and there was a big desk to work on. The hotel and staff was very quiet. The breakfast had great variety including yogurt, hot waffle machine and batter, fresh fruit cold cereal, etc. A super value for the money. This is my forth stay here and it just keeps getting better. I will stay there on my next trip to Safford, AZ. read more

The air conditioner in our room broke during the night. We were miserably hot. We requested it be repaired in the morning while we were at breakfast. At least we would be able to pack in comfort. We were told the mtc crew comes in later. I requested an adjustment on my room rate, and was told the manager was not available. I left a written request to be contacted, with my phone number. It's been 6 days, no phone call yet, imagine that! I completed the guest survey and got another line of ...... I will not be staying at this Quality Inn again. I rented a room July 3 for my granddaughters 5th Birthday so she could swim at the pool. I live in the area so this was the sole reason for the room. I had 10 people total all relatives 3 people used the pool we were the only people at the pool as the hotel was not busy. The manager/owner confronted me about 1 hour after we went to the pool saying I am not going to tell you again only registered guests at the pool. She was the rudest hotel worker I have ever encountered. No one from the hotel had told me this rule I looked at the list of rules near the door of the pool area and it said nothing of nonregistered guests not being allowed. I have stayed at this hotel in the past along with one nearby many times. The rooms are really showing their age they were nice 15 years ago but have deteriorated since. Chunks of the surface above the pool have come loose posing safety risks. I travel for business and use choice hotels extensively I mentioned to the manager Tammy Mayhew that I used choice hotels and was a gold member she told me "I dont care ho you are" I will NEVER stay at this Quality Inn again and am waiting to see what choice hotels are going to do about this rude manager for I may switch chains. DO NOT STAY AT THIS HOTEL besides the extremely rude management the rooms are dirty. I would like to Thank Tammy Mayhew for almost ruining my grand daughters birthday but we rented a room nearby and went to celebrate there they never said a word about our group at the pool. read more

The owner of the hotel is a rude jerk who got in my face and started screaming at me after I complained about the staff this after staying in his hotel for almost two months. I will never stay here again! I would rather drive two hours out of my way than stay here, this guy is a prick, everyone that works here is rude with the exception of a few. I wish I could leave less than a one star. Avoid this place like the plague. If you're looking for a budget option in the Safford area I'd recommend the Best Western. If you want the nicest place in town then go to the Springhill Suites by Marriott. All of the Choice hotels in town including this Quality Inn and both Comfort Suites are owned and managed by the same ridiculous people. Tammy Mayhew has to be the most incompetent so-called "manager" I've ever dealt with. Me and my crew stay in literally hundreds of hotels as we are constantly on the road with our contracting business. 99% of the time we have minimal contact with hotel staff, and when we do they are typically very good encounters. Not so at this establishment. First, at check in they want you to feel like they are doing you a favor by checking you in. I had a young, dark haired, possibly Hispanic young woman who had her nose in the air the whole time during the check-in process. The carpets throughout the hotel are disgusting, both in the halls and in the rooms. The rooms are falling apart with cabinets literally falling off their hinges. There is an odor that must be coming from Tammy herself that leaves the whole establishment with a cloud of filth. We had 3 rooms for about two weeks and got to know this hotel and the staff all too well. Mind you, we only go to the hotels to sleep, I don't want to imagine if I had to actually stay there during the day. One night I looked through the window and saw several police vehicles in the parking lot. I wasn't sure that all my guys had made it back for the night and just wanted to make sure they were all accounted for. After not being able to contact them I went downstairs as the cops were pulling away to find the "manager" and one of the owners laughing behind the front desk. I walked up to ask what was going on, Tammy laughs at something they were talking about and then turns to me and snaps! She said, "it's none of your concern, sir!" I explained that I just wanted to make sure none of my people were involved and had come to check. She then looks at me with what I would describe as "stank face" and retorts that it involved none of the hotel guests. I sternly thanked her and said that's all I wanted to know. Not sure what I did to ignite the wrath of that nasty woman but the owners stood there and said nothing as well. After nearly two weeks of staying there, I was going to have my wife and two children come join me for the weekend. Most places were booked but the "Quality" Inn had a couple of rooms, no more Suites so I settled for trying to book a regular room. They had one and added it to our reservation with the other 3 rooms. Immediately I went to look at it and realized it was not going to work for us. It was on the first floor and the ceiling was twice as high as the upper floors, that might be appealing to some but with a toddler it becomes an echo chamber. I've stayed in a room like that before and it is terrible. Not only that but the room was outdated more than the upper levels and already way overpriced. I didn't touch anything, I walked in, looked around and went back to the front desk immediately. Lucky for me it was the young woman who checked me in. I said we won't be needing that room after all and she said I would still be charged for the night. That's when things went south. I calmly asked her to get her manager on the phone, she attempted to call and couldn't get through. She tried the assistant manager who answered but told her it was up to Tammy, the manager. As she was calling the 3rd time she told me it would depend on what kind of night Tammy was having whether or not she'd make an exception to the policy. After she couldn't get her on the phone I gave her my keys and told her to have Tammy call me. We went up the street to eat and half way through dinner I got a call from crazy Tammy herself. I was kind on the phone and explained what happened. Any of these employees can look up our account and see that we spend thousands of dollars a month staying in Choice hotels all over the Southwestern US. I explained that the room was not needed and asked that she simply take the fourth room off the reservation as nobody touched the room. She snootily said, "oh, nobody touched the room huh? Ok, I will have one of our maintenance people check the locks card reader to see if anyone entered the room!" I was taken aback at this point and realized what I was dealing with, a #crazyperson. I explained that I went and looked in the room and realized it wasn't adequate for our needs. She then goes on a rant about how they will still have to clean the room and how do they know I didn't go in there and use the bathroom?! I said, "Tammy, check your security tapes and you'll see I was in there for no longer than 2 min. You are being unreasonable and any person could walk in that room and see that it has not been touched. Cray-cray! read more
