Before looking around the house, she told me she would charge $1,900. I was visibly shocked and my stomach fell a little, especially because I had already turned down other quotes that were less. I ultimately trusted her and hired her to clean my empty 1,800-square-foot home. She spent time there over three separate days, and I recognize that a lot of work went into the cleaning. However, when I returned afterward, I found a significant amount of dirt, thick grease, grime, dust, and debris still remaining on the baseboards throughout the entire kitchen and into the living area. Given the price, I was surprised by how much had been missed. She made an offer to come back and clean the areas, which I appreciated, but ultimately felt uncomfortable with. After paying $1,900, I felt there should also have been an alternative, such as a partial refund, when the finished job didn't meet expectations. I don't expect perfection, and I do appreciate the time and effort she put into the job. My concern is simply that the amount missed didn't feel consistent with a $1,900 cleaning. I would recommend discussing exactly what is included in the price and what happens if the customer isn't satisfied upon completion before booking this service.
