I was out of town when I originally contacted Precision Garage Door Service of Clearwater. My son…read morewent over to my house when the first Precision employee looked over my garage door. He provided a price indicative of replacing the garage door it would seem. As I am going to be selling my house I just needed repairs done to the extent that it wouldn't be "an issue negatively effecting the sale of this house." When I got home the door wasn't opening just by pushing the power button. I called Precision in Clearwater and they arranged for one of their personnel to come out between noon to 4 p.m. I got a call about 11:15-11:30 a.m. from their office. Their employee was in the area and could come by shortly. Within 15 minutes I got a call from Jon the Precision person that was going to come by and get my overhead garage door working properly. Jon, is a pleasant and experienced person who looked over my system completely. He noticed right away that a part on the door needed to be repositioned. He then proceeded to look over the door completely. I explained I was planning on selling the house so as the door was functioning normally, I wasn't concerned with other minor items that didn't effect it operating correctly. Many thanks to Jon. In other words it operated on its own and would neither close nor stay open; it "bounced" up and down. Great way to start my new year, huh? So I called Precision, who has taken care of my garage door since day one here many years ago. They gave me an appointment window of 2-6. Lo and behold the tech (Jesús) called me at 1:35 and was here by 2:05. Long story short, the board on my current motor was on its way out. He offered a few different possibilities for a remedy, and he patiently presented the various scenarios and associated costs. Long story short: we opted for an altogether new motor; the current one was a bit underpowered for the Big Bertha Door we have. All that came with a new programmable keypad, new hardware, and the ability to monitor its status from the ol' smartphone at any time! He also noticed our veteran's license plate and arranged for a 5% vet's discount! So once was all said and done, Jesús (also a vet) showed us how to program the keypad, how to reprogram our cars, PLUS how to install and engage the smartphone app. Beyond that, he also readjusted the springs, lubricated all the hardware and left us some lubricating oil! I've never had a bad experience with these folks and today was a ROCKSTAR experience. Jesús was very polite, friendly and professional. He truly went out of his way to make us comfortable and happy with our transaction. All of this even happened on January 1st, when so many other businesses would just be closed. In short, this whole transaction was basically completed a little more than two short hours after my discovery: on a holiday no less. So once again I can and do HIGHLY recommend Precision. We all have ups and downs in life, but if you want your garage door's ups and downs to be good ones, then go no farther and get YOUR 2025 off to a slam-bang start.

*** Update *** I had a 2nd company come out to replace my broken spring. Why would I use Banko…read moreagain when the ones they install got less than the "average" life in terms of cycles. First thing the technician said was, these springs are wrong, one was a 242 and the other a 250. Said they should both be 250's. In essence the 242 is a small spring. So Banko, whether on purpose, or by accident installed the wrong springs. This is 100% what led to the premature failure of the sping. Bottom line, AVOID BANKO. I feel they do this on purpose to cause premature failure in order so you call them more often than you should. I reached out to Banko, I'm awaiting a call back from a manager.
