"You got to know when to hold 'em, Know when to fold 'em, Know when to walk away, And know when to run. You never count your money When you're sittin' at the table. There'll be time enough for countin' When the dealing's done." My little sis is getting a divorce 16+ years in. After 3 consults with different lawyers, Mr. Chappell was the only one who invited her to an in-person visit. He was also the only one to set up a video link so I could join in on the consult (I had to set up a conference call and merge my sis in on the others... STUPID!). I was very impressed with how in-tune he was to my sister's emotional state. He devoted a healthy amount of respect for her fragility while balancing it with experienced advice/advocacy. He listened to her and asked relevant questions to help inform his understanding of a potential solution that would sate her appetite for a just settlement. His 35+ years of experience in family law was very evident in how he conducted himself. By the end of the meeting, he understood her/my (our) goals and proposed a sound go-forward plan. I look forward to updating you on more positive results- stay tuned.
