I hired Tom Lex Construction to put up a commercial building for me. In my 41 years in business,…read morethis was the worst decision I have ever made. I checked on reference's and personally viewed his work and I was impressed with the quality of his work on what I had seen and heard. That was all smoke and mirrors. The quality I received was so substandard and his lack of professionalism was almost a joke. There are always red flags we don't see at the time or put up with to move on. When a contractor says things like "it was easier that way" or "don't look to close" when I addressed him on an issue on how he was doing something he said: "don't worry about it". Four days after he poured a concrete slab, he drove over it with his Diesel truck and 4 months later it's all cracked and no promise to repair it. I had a professional contractor give me a quote on repairs that needed to be done to the interior of my building to the sum of $7,317.50 and $2500.00 to remove and replace the concrete that he destroyed. Mr. Lex sent me a check under protest for $6,000.00 and said he was being generous. Buyer be wear on this guy. During this horrible experience I was recovering from a hip replacement and he hit me with a blow float (that's assault) almost knocking me over and he thought it was funny. I hope he thinks this review is funny! My last review of Mr. Lex was 7 years ago crazy on how things change...
