I've used large companies in the past and honestly they were expensive and I had really bad experiences. I decided I wanted to go with a smaller operation to ensure a much more personable experience. When I called, I went directly to the owners cell phone whi h was nice. After asking some initial questions to get an idea of the issue he stated they'd be over shortly. He wasn't kidding. What felt like no time at all, I was then greeted by two very personable gentleman who were friendly, professional, funny and went step by step to ensure they diagnosed by issue properly and verify there were no additional issues. They even took the time to verify my A/C warranty. I thought I only had 5 years but to my surprise they confirmed I actually had 10 years. They ordered the part, pi led.it up and installed it all same day! This was a relief, the day it broke was the hottest it has been in a while. I also learned a lot and felt that they provided me an education as they walked me through the entire process step-by-step. Washer/Dryer was okay. Weed cleaning was mediocre at best. They had to move some pipes around the laundry room and cut into the drywall to do so. They pierced into the wall in the room next door. They repaired the damages, but when it came to the color matching of the walls' paint, they got a completely different color and they were going to leave it as it was and instead of fixing their mistake, they wanted me to spend hundreds on labor and paint to repaint the whole area in my 15' high cieling home. I took it upon myself to get the correct color from Home Depot, and they painted it on, and it was a correct match. ( let me add they did patch up a whole in my kitchen free of charge). I stated specifically what weeds needed to be cleaned before the process began. When they claimed to be done with the weeds, they didn't do any of the front sidewalk until I told them. Even so, it was not detailed professionally. Granted, they did work with the price. But I wonder if that's why I got a poor job with the weeds. As the projects were complete and they were getting ready to leave, I pointed out areas that needed to be cleaned from the materials of the drywall that stained my gazebo and back door handles. Time management was horrible. They decided the times they would arrive and I'd agree the day before. Regardless of their excuses, they never made a single appointment on time, having me waking up and waiting for hours at a time. I decided to try them again for a fence project I'm about to begin. Last week (Thursday at 1100 am) they informed me they would arrive 'First thing in the morning at 7' Monday morning. I agreed. There was no cancelation, so I assumed we were good to go. I woke up Monday morning at 0500 am to a message they sent at 9:46 last night to confirm if we were good for Monday morning. I texted yes. He stated that he didn't get an answer last night that we needed to reschedule. Don't get me wrong. The work they did was excellent as far as the Gazebo and Laundry room. They were helpful with the added patch work. They are good at making appointments but bad at being on time or keeping them. This is a review for them as much as the person attempting to hire them on mistakes that can be fixed. Time Management and Attention to detail are very needed for this up and coming company as well as cleaning after the projects are complete.

On December 3rd of 2018, I called and notified the installer ( Cold TEK HEATING & AC ) because…read morethere was a leak on a copper line attached to the condensing unit that needed to be fixed along with other issues red flagged by the inspector. We waited for over two weeks for it to be fixed and for the inspection, to be set for final approval before moving in. In December 20, of 2018 we moved into our newly remodeled home on 305 Murray. It was mid April when we started using the air conditioner and also experienced the first issue with the air conditioner not cooling the home properly. The AC unit inside the closet started leaking water below the return filter and not dripping on the exterior PVC pipe outside. My husband had to fix it and unclog the line multiple times. During the summer of 2019 our light bill was over $200 monthly and considering the light bill, was so high the home was never cool. We thought it was the nest thermostat that was not working so, I called nest for a replacement we replaced it but continued to have issues. We called the installer ( Cold Tek Heating & AC ) but could never get a response and answer about problems on the home. The issues continued with humidity in the home, the windows and doors sweating, sheetrock on the walls, ceiling cracking and separating on the joints. On February 19, of 2020 my husband and I noticed the home was not cooling and went outside and the AC was not coming ON my husband went to the breaker box and saw that the breaker was tripped he turned it on as soon as it was turned ON the outside unit started smoking and tripped the breaker again. We had to call several contractors to quote us and told us that the reason there was a-lot of moisture in the home and the windows and doors were sweating was because the unit was over-sized for the home. Also, mentioned the unit had burned because it was over sized, and also stated the interior copper line was bent and coolant was not reaching the inside unit properly, the PVC piping did not have a pee trap nor clean-out, refrigerant was low due to leakage and was badly welded. After all the quotes we decided to go with Superior Star AC and Heating llc they came in and replaced the AC when the inspector came to do the final inspection i mentioned that we had several issues with the unit and the inspector said that the installers insurance should be called regarding all the issues. And also mentioned that if i needed a witness or assistance that he be glad to help. We did not had the money budgeted for the proper AC unit to be replaced because we thought we would have the AC unit for over ten years but trusting a contractor with expertise you would think everything would be working fine. But only if he would of installed it right and sized it properly we would have dealt with all the problems we experienced. Just be careful who you hire and insure that you do your home work before hiring someone that just you just what you want to hear.

Eduardo came out and within 24 hours emailed a quote for the job. It was very reasonable so I told Eduardo that I was ready to have him start the job. Within a week the job was started as promised. The day before the job was to start I changed my plans, adding steps off of the ramp. Eduardo altered the plan and the quote, again, very reasonable. Within hours Eduardo adjusted the plan and quote. No problem for him. Eduardo and crew started the next day. From the beginning E & J was professional. The design was solid and exceeded my expectations in every way. Eduardo was always on top of things. One night he worked until 10:45pm. Another day until 8:45pm. He used 2" x 6" floor and 4'' x 4" post anchored to the cement of my patio. The ramp floor and rails were solid as a rock. I had requested a 38" rail height to accommodate my 6' 4" reach. Again, no problem.
